Ruby Riot: Kirishima x Reader

~Chapter 20~

A week after the incident, you and your classmates quickly recover and move on. You're now all focused on Spring Fling that's coming up tomorrow. This past week, you, Jirou, Kirishima, Bakugo, Momo, Denki, and Tokoyami have been rehearsing your set for the concert. The other students have made sure that all the decorations has arrived and are ready to be set up.

•Friday•

You wake up for your usual classes. You head over to class 1A to attend Professor Aizawa's lecture. You walk in the room and the energy seems to be higher than normal today. You take your usual seat in front of Kirishima.

Y/n: Hey !

Kirishima: Hey Ruby Riot !

You notice something different about his appearance.

Kirishima: Why are you staring at me like that ? Is there something on my face ?

Y/n: I just noticed that you re-dyed your hair. I was so used to seeing your black roots peeking out.

Kirishima laughs.

Kirishima: Hey ! Stop it ! It was getting pretty bad, I found time yesterday to dye it. Does it look okay ?

Y/n: It looks good. Your hair always looks nice, but I prefer it down.

Mina: I actually miss black haired Kirishima, but this will do.

Kirishima: I like my hair the way it is now, it's a manly style-Thank you very much ladies.

Denki: Bro you go through half a jar of gel in a week, wouldn't it be easier if you didn't spike your hair up everyday ?

Bakugo: Wouldn't it be easier if you didn't use up your quirk in one attack, dunce face ?

Denki: You didn't have to be mean.....

You laugh.

Y/n: Well your hair always looks great whether it's red, black, both, spiked, or down. If you're happy, I'm happy.

Kirishima forms a big smile.

Kirishima: Well thank you, Ruby Riot.

Professor Aizawa walks in the room.

Professor Aizawa: Afternoon class. Today's class will be different. Instead of lecture or training, I decided that we will use today's class time to set up for Spring Fling. It will be held tomorrow in the gymnasium. I wanted to set aside this time since our class is hosting it, as I understand you all have other classes and after school activities. I would like Iida to start the planning.

Iida walks up to the front of the room.

Iida: Salutations classmates. It's nearing the end of the school year, so it's important we do our best to end the year great by making Spring Fling a success. From my understanding, we have all the decorations and equipment ready to set up, correct ?

Deku: Yep, we have everything. We stored it in the schools storage closets near the gym.

Iida: That's good to hear. Those working in the band, if it's easier, you can leave your instruments in the gym so you don't have to worry about bringing it out tomorrow.

Jirou: That should be fine, I think we could even run a sound check today when we're done setting up.

Y/n: I agree. I know we practiced all semester, but I think it would be beneficial to practice on stage just to figure out the logistics.
