Summary: Kaz thinks (Y/N) is missing out on meetings because of a boy.

Suspicion was in Kaz Brekker's nature but not jealousy. What was the point in that? Jealousy was just another additional word in Kaz's vocabulary. A sloppy word. One he hated more than the feeling it described.
Jealousy
She'd come back every night and sit on a bar stool with a shot of whiskey in her hands with her companions on either side of her.
Jesper on the right Inej on the left.
She'd giggle with Inej, gossip with Nina and whisper things in Jesper's ears. It was all a frequent routine to her.
She seemed to know her way around men and women better than anyone he'd placed his eyes on.Like a magnet, she only attracted the ones she was compatible with, the rest were as good a mud.
The countless hours Kaz spent gazing down at her figure seated at the bar with his crows gossiping of everything in between and whatnot. Countless hours he spent motivating himself to talk to her, apart from the conversations they held when he sent her on missions.
She obviously had better things to do than join him and the group when he called a meeting.
She'd missed three out of five in the last two weeks. Nothing major, Inej would tell him when she reported the information she gathered that night to his dorm.
This third time, however, was a mistake.
She should have shown up on time. Yet here they all were without (Y/N)."You gonna keep us here forever Kaz?" Nina questioned impatiently as she hit her fingers on the desk he sat behind. He glared up from his pocket watch to look at her and the rest of the group before signed loudly.
"Where is she?"
"Does it matter?" Matthias asked with his arms crossed.
"Unless you want to repeat my one hour long plan to her Matthias, no it doesn't matter!" Kaz hissed as he pulled himself up to his feet using his cane.
"I'll find her." Mumbled Inej as she prepared herself to leave the room.
"No, don't!" Kaz exclaimed as he leaned his hands against the table and let his head fall in between his shoulders in disbelief.
"It's too late." He added and looked up at her.
"Here's what I have in mind..."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ketterdam's streets were packed with tourists by the time I make my exit. Walking past hundreds of people I knocked my shoulder against a few on accident. To them, however, that felt like an opportunity to scream in my ears. I didn't think much of it and continued my way to the crow club.
Entering the club I immediately found Jesper and Wylan seated at the bar I usually joined that at. Inej and Nina were nowhere to be seen, however.
"Come to pay me a drink?" Jesper asked as I joined the couple.
"I'm saving my money, Jesper." I answered more harshly than intended.
"She's in a mood Jesper let her be." Spoke Wylan from Jesper's right. I glared at him as he gave me a soft smile.
"Kaz wants a word with you," Matthias spoke from behind as he joined the three of us and sat on my left.
"Right now?" I questioned as I let my head fall back in disbelief.
"Yes right now."
"Aaaargh." I groaned as I lazily walked my way up the stairs to his dorm.
My short blue dress had slid up my thighs on my way up the stairs causing me to knock on the door while pulling it down to cover my knees.
Kaz opened the door while I continued to fuss around with the fabric of my dress. He rolled his eyes and moved aside so I could step in."Where have you been?" He asked impatiently as he trashed around papers on his desk.
"That's none of your business."
"Is it not? I'm your boss!" He shouted causing me to be taken aback by his sudden anger towards me. He'd clearly been accumulating it while I made my way over.
"You've missed three meetings and one of those was a very important one!" He exclaimed."I-"
"Your not one to wear short dresses, but recently that's all I've seen you in! Is this person worth your time over your job?" He spat as he narrowed his eyes on me.
"Yes."
"Well then, maybe it's time for you to leave."
He seemed a bit shock by my answer."I can't, I need the money!"
"I'm sure you'll find a new job easily in that dress."
"Excuse me?" I shouted in spite.
"Leave!"
"No."
"Leave." He hissed dangerously low as he leaned over his desk.
"Let me explain."
Kaz tilted his head down as he signed.
"My sister is sick, I work at a bar for the extra money." His ears seemed to twitch in interest as he pulled himself up from the desk and walked around it to stand in front of me."Your sister doesn't live here."
"She arrived two weeks ago," I mumbled.
"Huh."
"Can I go now?" I asked after a short period of awkward silence.
"So your not seeing anyone?"
"What?"
"I thought...." he started but paused as he reverted his eyes to the painting behind me.
I couldn't retain myself from the laugh buried deep inside my stomach. Laughing out loud I rolled my head back and whipped my tears dry."You thought I was seeing someone?" I tried to hold my giggles in as he cracked a small smile which made me blush and cover my mouth with my hand from the laughter.
"Why would you think that Kaz?" I exhaled to retain my laugher."I don't know you tell me." He giggled for the first time in front of me. It felt like he was laughing in relief.
"What do you mean? Are you jealous?" I teased as I tried to pinch his cheek but he stopped me by grabbing my wrist tightly with his gloved one. His eyes darkened and I thought he was about to knock me out with his cane and throw me out the window.
"Maybe." He whispered before wrapping his other hand around my waist and colliding our lips together.
