The rest of the day was weird but eventually, royal clothes faded back into my normal clothes. After lunch, I went to the rest of my classes but rumors spread fast and by the end of the day everyone knew what I was. I was uncomfortable with everyone staring at me but at least now they were staring at me for a good reason. Violet practically refused to leave my side and even offered to skip her 5th period to stay with me which was sweet. I know she feels awful about how everything went down but in the end, she proved herself to be my best friend because even after I ignored her for a month and so did the rest of our friend group, she stood up for me and told Ivy to shut up. I couldn't ask for a better best friend and this fight made us stronger and helped me figure out who I was in the end so it worked out. One of the coolest things about this is as I walk down the halls everyone darts out of my way, so me and my friends decided it would be fun to strut down the halls in a squad-like formation while everybody quickly moves out of our way. I got a lot of stares and everyone tried coming up to talk to me but luckily when my friends were there they told everyone to leave me alone and give me space. Soon the day was over and I couldn't wait to see my mom. "Hi, mom," I say as I run-up to the car. My mom literally jumps out of the car and gives me a huge hug, "I'm so proud of you I knew you would find yourself," We get in the car and I explain to her how I found my powers. I told her about Violet and how she is the most amazing best friend ever. My mother then couldn't stop saying how proud she was of me and how she knew me and Violet were meant to be best friends. We soon get home and she says that I should invite Violet and her mom over for dinner and then we will throw a party with whoever I want on the weekend to celebrate. Crystal was already home and I could tell she was jealous because not only was I a queen so I showed her up again but mom didn't throw her a party when she found her element a few years ago. She just let Crystal go out with her friends and gave her money.
I text Violet asking if her and her mom would like to join us for dinner, Of course, they said yes. Crystal tried to get out of it but our mother put her foot down and demanded that she be here to celebrate my accomplishments. This was a shock to her, our mom rarely forced Crystal to do things with us because she knew Crystal would much prefer hanging out with her friends. Violet and her mom come over around 6:00 and I let them in. "Oh my gosh, I am so proud of you! I knew you were going to be amazing" Violet's mom said as she rushed over to hug me. Our families were so close she was practically like a second mom to me. "Thank you so much," I say, happy to see her again. She is always so kind to me. Violet comes up and hugs me next "Ok so what are you going to do to celebrate this weekend," She asks me. "Well, my mom said I could throw a party," I say happy to see my best friend again. "Ok this is great, so I'm thinking we go shopping with friends after school tomorrow to get a new outfit for your party," She says rushing to say everything she is thinking before she forgets, I just laugh and let her continue, "and then we can have the party on Saturday do you know where you want to have it and who you want to invite?" She asks, still rushing. "Ok slow down," I say calmly. "these seem like great ideas, why don't we figure it out a bit more after we eat? But I would love to go shopping tomorrow with you and the others" So we sit down at the table, still making conversation but it had calmed down a bit. At first, our friends were slightly hesitant but once I had made it clear that I had forgiven Violet and she apologized to them too they accepted her back happily. We finish eating dinner, Crystal heads up to her room, our moms stay at the table, and me and Violet sit down in the living room to talk about party and celebration stuff. We eventually finish a basic plan of how the next two days are going to go down. I ask for mom's approval before going ahead with it and of course, she said yes. I then text all my friends asking if they want to go to the mall tomorrow to hang out and pick out new outfits. They all agree and they also all get permission to attend the party on Saturday.
The next day I wake a little earlier and decide to put in a bit of extra effort into my appearance. I mean if I am the queen I should also look the part I guess. I then get dressed and walk downstairs where my mom prepared my favorite breakfast. I smile and happily eat it. We have a short conversation over breakfast before we get in the car to drive to school. I get there around the same time and I am almost instantly nearly tackled by my friends who are so happy to see me. Even though they all were congratulating me yesterday they congratulated me like 10 more times to the point where I told them to stop. As we walked to class Violet noticed something "Hey I just realized you are finally wearing short sleeves" She says, this makes her even happier. I haven't worn short sleeves since the bullying started a few years ago. This is because when you find your element and spirit animal you get a mark on your right bicep close to your shoulder showing what they are. "Yeah, I am," I say confidently, "I finally have something to show off like everyone else" With that everyone smiles and we continue to our seats. We sit down and talk some more before the bell rings signaling the beginning of class. When it rings I tell my friends to stop talking and pay attention. This causes some confused looks from people including the teacher. If I wanted to I could keep talking and no one would do anything about it because I am a queen but I don't care about that. Class ends and we walk to our next classes. To be honest, the day felt like it was taking forever because I couldn't wait to go shopping with my friends later, I was tired of the staring and whispering. I was also tired of the people trying to be my friend. These are the same people who looked down on me a few days ago for not having an element. Lunch finally comes along and I see Violet walk towards us. She doesn't seem upset which is good but I am still worried. "What happened in biology?" I ask, wondering how Ivy is acting. "Well she tried to apologize and be my friend, probably to get closer to you and when I told her to shut up or I would complain to you she got so scared and looked down," Violet says laughing at the last part. The entire group let out a little laugh at that last part. I love having the power over Ivy. Then I look up and see Ivy walking towards us with the fakest smile I have ever seen. She walks up to our table and tries to talk to me "Oh hey Olivia," She says in a very fake positive tone that makes me want to punch her, "I just wanted to say you look beautiful today and you should come sit over with me" "Uh-huh," I say clearly not caring about her offer "No thanks I would rather sit with my friends" At that point, I can tell she is annoyed and her fake smile falters for a second before she continues "Well everyone is invited" she says trying to not throw up at the thought of inviting people below a rank two to sit with her. "Yeah no thanks," I say, not giving her the attention she so desperately wants. "Honestly we don't like you that much and think you are pretty mean, So..." "Oh, I understand," She says in a fake sad tone. I swear, can she get any more fake? It is annoying me at this point. She starts to walk away when she turns back around and says "Look I'm sorry for being a bully these past years. It's just the way I was raised. You wouldn't understand" I almost feel bad but I then realize I don't have to feel bad she is only being nice to me because I outrank her now. "Ok, yeah no offense but we are kinda busy over here if you wouldn't mind leaving," I say in a slightly snarky and rude tone but I can't help it. At this, she turns and storms away, upset that I wouldn't let her manipulate me into befriending her. Me and my friends continue eating soon enough, it's time to go to our next class. Finally, the day ends and we all go home to drop our school stuff off, and then we meet up at the mall.
