We finish preparing and my mom also wears a nice but simple black dress with a simple strand of pearls and a very natural makeup look. She said she didn't want her outfit to upstage mine which is sweet of her. She still looks really nice though. My sister comes out of her room wearing a pretty simple dress and her hair pulled up into a nice bun. By the time we are done getting ready it is almost 1:50 so we have to get going to the party or I'm gonna be late. We walk outside and there is a limo waiting to take us to the party. "You ordered a limo!?" I say extremely excited. I've never been in a limo before, it's not a common thing to have. "Yes, I wanted you to feel like the most special girl in the world," My mom says with a huge smile on her face. I hear my sister grunt at that and I do feel a little bit bad because mom is taking my party more seriously than she did for my sister's. So I think my sister might be jealous but I really don't care that much not like she has been that good to me. We all get in the limo and the atmosphere of the car is exciting and me and my mom can't stop talking and laughing and I know Crystal is trying to at least be positive and not ruin this experience for me but I can tell she certainly doesn't care that much about this party. We arrive at the party at exactly 2:00 and my sister sneaks into the party through the side door and my mom texts Violet's mom that we are here. My mom then escorts me into the party. We stop at the door and everyone turns around to look at us as a spotlight is directed at us. The party goes quiet for a second and then everyone cheers and claps which makes me a bit uncomfortable because I hate being the center of attention but I just smile and make my way to my seat. Everyone has assigned seats but a lot of people just get up and down throughout the night as they socialize with others. But as I approach my seat everyone moves out of the way almost making a path so I can get to my seat easier and then the party kinda goes back to normal, everyone congratulates me and says hi as I walk by and I do my best to keep up even though it is only like 25 or so people it's a lot all at once. When I finally get to my seat I see Violet running towards me to give me a huge hug. "You don't just look like a queen, you look like a goddess," She says, sounding like she is about to cry. I just have to giggle. She has always been a bit more emotional about things like this but it's sweet. "Aww thanks, you look beautiful as well, I can't believe this is finally happening," I say, "I was so uncomfortable putting all this on this is so far from the way I usually dress," "I know but you look so good," She says encouragingly when she says it I truly believe her. "I know, my mom said the same thing and I trust you two I guess I should just enjoy the party," I say, "I mean it's nice to see my friends and family especially people I haven't seen in a while," "Yeah exactly like go say hi to people and catch up I will make sure things run smoothly," She says, I love her so much she is always so supportive and knows what I need to hear. "Oh no, you don't," My Mom says coming from out of nowhere, to be honest, I forgot she was still here for a second "You are going to enjoy this party too, I will handle everything from here, Thank you so much for helping to set up it looks beautiful but now you and Olivia should go have fun," "Are you sure?" Violet asks. "Yes I'm sure you deserve to have a fun night with Olivia too, I mean seriously you were there for her when I couldn't be," My mom says. "Yeah, she's right Violet, without you, I wouldn't be the person I am right now so this party is also for you," I say and it's true she has had such a huge influence on me it's crazy. "Aww, I don't think I would have been the person I am right now if it wasn't for you either, you have taught me so many things since we have been friends and I love you for that," She says nearly crying again. She is like my real sister and I love her so much. I usually don't get emotional but when she says that I nearly start crying I can't believe I found a friend like her because no matter what I know I can depend on her and I'm thankful for that. A photographer comes up to us and asks to take a few photos of Violet and me and then I take a few with my mom and sister as well.
I have an amazing time talking to family members that I haven't seen in a while and family friends too. They all talk about how cool my elemental power is and how they are so proud of me. I have heard that statement now so many times it's kinda lost its value but I still say thank you and hold a very respectful conversation and Violet is by my side the entire night. She then practically drags me onto the dance floor where we meet up with Alice, Kaylie, and Kayden, so we all dance together for a while, and then when we get tired we all go back to our table so we can just sit and talk. "Hey, how are you feeling so far, having fun?" Kylie asks. "Yeah, it's the most fun I've had in a while," I say back, "And I'm so glad that you all were able to come too it wouldn't be the same without you," Kayden laughs "We wouldn't have missed it for the world," "Yeah exactly, I literally would have had to die to miss your big day," Alice says smiling. "Aww you all are too sweet, I love you four so much," I say. We have a really long conversation about everything and they all offer to help me practice and stuff which is really kind of them and I'm probably going to need a lot of help. Even though we technically aren't supposed to practice until after high school when we each go to a specific training school that helps us with our abilities, but who cares no one really follows the rules anyway. We then go get something to eat because the excitement has left us all pretty hungry. After we finish eating we go around and talk to more people. I introduce all of my friends to my family and they are all super nice which is a relief because I always worry that someone might look down on my friends who maybe aren't as high of a rank. But I come from a pretty mixed family so my family is pretty accepting of people from all ranks. Honestly all the bullying and torment that I have dealt with the past few years have been completely worth it because it has shown me who my real friends are and it has helped me become the person I am right now. Violet and I are together pretty much the whole night and I really wouldn't have it any other way because she has been with me through this entire process too. I am lucky to have such an amazing friend like her. Around nine o'clock some guests start to leave because honestly it has been a really long night and then at ten o'clock the last few guests leave and soon it's just me, my friends, and their families. So there is a group of about 12 of us and we help supervise the clean up of the party, which goes by surprisingly quickly. With all of us working together with the people we hired to help we finish by eleven all of my friends and their families go home except for Violet and her mom. "We have one more surprise for you," my mom says, "Violet is going to sleep over at our house just because I know you two probably want to talk and hang out more" "Thank you!" I say and I hug my mom. Violet's mom goes home shortly after and we take Violet back to our house. We are all pretty tired but me and Violet get ready for bed and talk for a little bit. "So..." Violet says, pausing for a few seconds, "did you have fun?" She asks. "Yes," I say, "It was definitely one of the most fun and exciting days of my life" "That's good, I'm glad you had a lot of fun" She says and she is definitely smiling but I can sense she is slightly worried. "What's wrong?" I ask. "Oh it's nothing, I'm really proud of you but I'm just a bit worried that stuff is going to change I mean we really only have like a year and 2 months of highschool left and then we have to start our real lives" She says and I mean I get where she is coming from up until now it's been pretty minor stuff you know and I really hadn't thought about what comes next, but now its kinda like dang, I'm growing up a lot faster than I thought I would. "Yeah, I get where you are coming from, but as long as we are handling it together it can't be that bad" I say this calms her down a bit and honestly it calms me down too. "You're right," She says "We are going to deal with this together and it will be fine" "Exactly" I say with that we both calm down a bit and get ready to go to sleep. "Goodnight," I say, falling asleep. "Goodnight" she says back right before I drift off to sleep.
