Have them be 3 sets of couples at this point and have it set either in college/uni or when they have started their careers.
The girls especially should get along well and the guys also have similarities.
If you want you could also add Hasebe Haruka and Miyaki Akito from COTE as well as Fukube Satoshi and Ibara Mayaka from Hyouka to the group. Making them couples as well could also be done.
