"Where do we go?"
He had been asking her the same question for the last 2 hours. Surely, by now, someone ought to have noticed that they were missing.
They flattened themselves against the mountainside and looked down. It was sure a long way down there.
Her hair billowed in her face making it almost impossible to see. They held on to each others hands for dear life but the thrill of adrenaline, of near death, was almost irresistible to Hermione.
She groped around with her free hand and one foot for where to step next.
A heavy fog soon settled in but by that time they were almost at the top of the mountain.
As night fell upon them, Hermione felt only despair as they would not reach the top today.
Draco squeezed her hand reassuringly. "We'll make it Nessie"
She grinned. "What did you call me?"
"Nessie... why?" He looked a bit nervous.
"Well that happens to be the name of the Loch Ness Monster"
"Oh really?" He smirked and put his hand on her waist as they walked.
"Mmhmm" Hermione ginned up at Draco.
"Well I guess it makes sense" he said.
"What do you mean?"
"No one knows you. Is it really Vanessa? Does Vanessa even exist?"
He kissed the tip of her petite nose. "Does Vanessa love me?" He whispered this in her ear and before she could register what was happening, they were kissing.

She opened her eyes and didn't find him there.
He had been there the whole night. She was sure of it. His stuff was gone too.
Her heart plummeted. He had gone back to Hogwarts. He got bored of her.
Still, a small sliver of hope shone in her. Like a beacon of light in the darkest night.
She stood up and called for him. Once, twice, three times. She searched the area around.
If he had left not long ago, she should be close.
Draco, meanwhile, stood perched up on a tree branch while she searched, not far from their campsite.
He witnessed at she fell to the floor, sobbing. She looked like an angel, that had fallen from heaven, unable to return. His heart was shattered into a million pieces.
He slowly lowered himself and walked away. Not looking back. Not once. For if he did, he wouldn't be able to look away.

"You're back" a voice said from the shadows. Draco stood there, frozen. He had not expected to hear her.
"Katherine" His arms were bound behind him and so were his legs.
She stepped into the light. She had always been beautiful. Looked a bit too old for a 17 year old. But that tends to happen when you are immortal.
"You- you're back"
A cold smile curves her blood red lips. "Indeed I am"
Draco opened his mouth to speak but she cut him off.
"You have got the girl... well done. Now what will you do with her?" She looked down upon him.
"I will- I wi- I will bring her to you?" It came out more like a question than an answer.
"Indeed you will."
Draco looked away for looking into her green eyes would compel you to do whatever she wanted you to do.
"Look at me!" she slapped him across the face.
Draco didn't move or struggle or that would surely mean something worse than death.
He looked at her eyes and felt himself going numb.
"You will bring her to me"
He returned and he knew what he had to do.
"Do you know what would happen, if she is on their side?"
Draco remained silent.
"My destruction... again." She looked at him. "Not in the way Voldemot was destroyed. No no no. He was foolish to think that death was the worst thing that could happen."
Her eyes turned black. "There are worse things than death."
