"Wake up!" Astoria cried, jumping on Hermione's bed.

"What?" she mumbled sleepily.

"We have to go decorate c'mon. Eat your breakfast already. I brought it up for you"

Hermione quickly ate it and slid into her dress after cleaning it with a quick spell.

"What's next Princess?" she asked.

"I was joking when I said that yesterday Apples" she rolled her eyes.

"Where will we have it?" Astoria asked the girls.

"The Room of Requirement?" Ginny asked.

"It was destroyed by Fiendfyre" Hermione cut in. "Hermione told me..."

"We could have it in the Great Hall. We could ask McGonagall if they can have breakfast in their common rooms." a girl that Hermione recognized as Rose Zeller. A Hufflepuff.

Everyone nodded in agreement. "Good idea" Astoria said.

"Zeller and Abbot can go ask McGonagall now"

The two girls stood up and ran to McGonagall's office as fast as they could. The rest that were left behind chatted about who was going with who.

"Who are you going with Vanessa?" Ginny asked.

"Nobody" she replied and casualy sat back in her chair.

"Alone! That is social suicide!" Ginny screamed.

"Is it wrong to go with my friends?" Hermione asked with narrowed eyes.

"Bet your friends found dates though" Ginny countered.

"Yes they did actually" Hermione replied.

"I know someone that would like to go with you!" Ginny suddenly exclaimed.

"Who?" Hermione pretended to be intrested though she was going alone. Period.

"There is Cormac McLaggen" Ginny said.

If Hermione would've been drinking something, it would be on the floor because she was laughing so hard.

"I'm okay thanks" she wheezed when she stopped laughing.

Rose and Hannah came back, identical grins on their faces. "McGonagall said yes!" Hannah screamed, jumping with excitement.

"What will be the theme though?" a Ravenclaw girl asked.

"We should do it in honor of the people who died for the better. We'll asign one to a couple" Luna said dreamily.

"What if we come alone?" Hermione asked worriedly.

"You still get one. Duh. You're so slow" Ginny said, loosing her patience. She wanted to start decorating already.

"Zeller, Abbot, Vane, and Bell will be incharge of food" Astoria said, her quick quotes quill copying down exactly what she said.

"Lovegood, Brown, Bones, and Davis will be incharge of assigning people and music" she checked to make sure the quill was writing.

"Weaslette, Potter, Patil, and moi. We shall be incharge of the decorations."

The groups split and Hermione inwardly groaned. Ginny wasn't being exactly nice to her.

"Let's go" Ginny said impatiently.

Pavarati conjured some really pretty blue butterflies and they fluttered around the room.

"Could you make them like into lights?" Astoria asked but to her dismay, she shook her head. Hermione volunteered for the task and soon, small bobbles of light fluttered around the room.

"You are a genious" Pavarati breathed as a butterfly landed on her finger.

Ginny conjured red, blue, and yellow banners as Astoria conjured green ones.

Hermione charmed the red ones to roar if touched and the blues to make confetti. The yellows to make a balloons and the greens to hiss.

Astoria conjured ladders and they manually changed all of the old ones for these new, longer ones.

"What do we do about the tables?" Pavarati asked.

The four girls levitated the Grffindor table and pushed it against the wall.

They did the same to the other tables and Ginny conjured some dark purple velvet tablecloth and they draped them over the tables.

Hermione looked at Luna who was always happy but now had a tear sliding down her face. She chose not to comment on it.

"Let's have a break ladies!" Astoria said.

"Would you go to the kitchens and take some food and drinks Pavarati. Go with her Weaslette" she asked.

"Slave labor" Hermione muttered.

Ginny and Pavarati soon came back with 4 trays, heaping with food. Hermione bit her tongue to stop herself from asking if they had paid them.

"Enthusiastic little elves they are. Took a bit of a liking to Pavarati." Ginny said the last part sourly.

Pavarati showed them a dead orange butterfly that was charmed to stick to the end of her braid.

Hermione took a chicken wing and ate it. "Pass me a cup of water Princess" she asked Astoria.

"Here you go Apples" she said sarcastically, handing her the cup.

After the nice little lunch break, Hermione made an unbreakable glass and they charmed thousands of butterflies to light up. They even made some flower bushes to make them comfortable.

It took the rest of the day to learn the spell and charm them as you could only do 3 at a time.

Pavarati made three and Ginny had to immobilize them. I made them light up and Astoria set them free, beyond the glass one way. You can go in but not out.

"We are going to let some free that day" Astoria said, looking at the butterflies perched on flowers and fluttering around.

"Yeah" Ginny agreed. "Night" Ginny left and Astoria went with her but Luna was crying in a corner.

"What's wrong Luna?" Hermione asked.

"Neville doesn't have time for me" she said softly.

"Of course he does Luna" Hermione took Luna's hands in her own.

"Why don't you tell him? Have a little talk." Luna looked so broken, so helpless that Hermione felt scared if that was going to be her if anyone broke up with her.

So, in fear, Hermione chained up her heart for no one to play with but someone had a key.
