Aphrodite sends envoys

Promachos Athena is no stranger to a challenge.

She's cold and unfeeling,

or she is a child, parthenos in infancy

or she is a lonely old hag, hiding from the world

These,  like arachne, lies that Aphrodite spins.

For the rocks she throws don't ripple in Athena

The woman of the city, the patron of Socrates will not be shaken.

Like the building that holds her title,

she is sure and certain as stone in her course.

On the front line in every battlefield but one.
