"Okay, remember. She's a lady, don't touch her inappropriately. Don't kiss on the first date unless of course she wants to. Dont-"

"Aleks, I know" I reassured him. I guess Aleks doesn't want me fucking up, this is my official first date with someone in general.

"Okay, I'll be home. Don't leave for too long tonight Seamus" Aleks said, he reminded me of a concerned mother.

We hugged and I got out of the car, instantly seeing Maritza standing there. No emotion on her face whatsoever.

Is that her default expression?
She looks so done with life.

Walking up to her she quickly smiled once she noticed me, holding out my arm for her she grabbed it gently.

Just pretend to be enjoying this. It's just for a few hours. Nothing more.

We both went inside to buy our tickets. I asked her what she wanted to watch and we both agreed on a horror movie.

"You're not going to get that scared, right?" I jokingly told her. Maritza looked at me with an angry glare, though I know she was also joking. "I'm pretty sure you're the one who's going to get scared"

We started to playfully insult each other. Walling inside the big theatre I noticed that the previews started playing. "Where'd you wanna sit?" I asked her, her finger pointed to the seats in the back. Arching my eyebrow I just shrugged my shoulders and sat in the back.

The movie started and she lightly grabbed my arm, sometimes squeezing it when a jumpscare would pop out of no where.

These two hours actually went by smoothly. She didn't have the kind of reaction to the movie like I thought she would.

Was I really stereotyping girls?

Everyone else was clinging onto their partner. Shouldn't Maritza do that too?

Or was she not scared enough?

Did I ruin the date by picking a bad horror movie?

So many questions that I didn'y quite understand kept popping up in my head as the credits roll by. Slowly turning to Maritza she smiled, a sigh of relief left my lips as I breathed the air that I was apparently holding in my lungs.

"This movie wasn't scary at all..." she began saying. Which only made me hold my breath again. "...but the story line was fucking awesome"

She began laughing as she stood up, standing up as well I started laughing.

Holy fuck I did good!

Did I?

Well she's laughing.

"Did you like the movie?" I asked her, concern filling my voice. Maritza nodded her head happily. "Why wouldn't I?"

Maybe I was just overreacting.

"I was just wondering. I'm glad you liked the movie"

She held onto my arm softly and smiled sweetly. "Let's go, Jordan must be paranoid. He didn't want to leave because he thought something would happen with me. I don't think he really has that much trust in you"

I laughed and we walked out of the movie theatre. Her arm linked around my arm.

I survived...

We saw Jordan's truck in front of the movie theatre. His head was against the steering wheel. The window he was next to was opened so I decided to put my arm in and push his head against the steering wheel.

BEEEP!

Jordan quickly woke up and gave me a glare as I started laughing.

"Ha ha very funny O'Doherty"

I raised my hands up as if I was surrending. "Sorry man, I was just being fun"

Maritza hugged me tightly before she left.

"Bye-Bye!"

"Bye-Bye"

I smiled as they left off.

Once they were gone my smile faded away.

I can't believe I did this.

Sighing I started walking home. My mind needed a rest

Walking by the store Aleks works at, I saw the guy he likes.

The guy he likes.

Shivers went down my spine just looking at him. I have a strong hatred towards this guy because my best friend is in love with him.

And im in love with my best friend.

Ugh I seriously have to get some rest.

Alright I took a break over writing because I had major writers block so I took a break for quite a long time.

But i am back with new ideas!
