⚠️; sexual assault

Luke gently grabbed my hand and led me to a secluded store room. "Why here?" I asked him, and Luke didn't respond, just closed the door harshly. I looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to do something.

Luke turned on me, staring angrily. "Leave the Selection." He growled, and I rolled my eyes.

"Absolutely not." I said, levelling my gaze.

"It wasn't a question." He yelled, slapping me straight across the face. He grabbed my throat and begun to choke me. I tried fighting back, but it was no use, he was cutting of circulation, making my limbs weaker.

"Luke," I tried, but he lifted me up and rammed me into the wall. Luke laughed satirically, and punched me across the face, causing my lip to split. Luke reached into his pocket and pulled out the tooth of a wolf, the sign of the Southern Rebels.

"Poor Annabeth Chase. Heartbroken and desperate for change, she joined the Selection, only to find that her ex, the one who broke her heart in the first place, has returned. Conflicted, but Annabeth chose the Prince, showing that she truly loved him. That would be a lovely story to tell your and Percy's grand children, am I right?" Luke seethed.

"The best kind." I responded stubbornly. Luke punched me again, and blood leaked from my mouth. He kicked my skull, causing my vision to blur.

"Shut up," he whispered angrily. "I'm not done yet. So, when Annabeth was finally on the track to being the princess, her ex boyfriend caught her, and won her heart back. How does that sound for a story to tell our grandchildren?"

I spat blood at the white tile, fighting back the dizziness. "Bold of you to asume-" but he didn't let me finish. Instead, he kicked me right in the gut, and I doubled over in pain, clutching my stomach for dear life. Luke grabbed a heavy lead rod, and hit my head.

"I've tried," Luke punched me.

"every." Another punch.

"single," Punch number three in quick succession, this time to ribs.

"way to get you out of this competition." He grabbed me and took out a knife. For a second, I thought he was going to stab me. But, he did something worse. He cut through my dress, I tried to scream, but I didn't have the breath for it. Tears formed in my eyes, but I held them back. I gasped like I hadn't breathed for a lifetime.

Luke grabbed fistfuls of my hair and brought his face to mine, then he kissed me. I was too shocked to respond, my entire body seemed to freeze over. When Luke pulled away, he had blood in his mouth, my blood. He took off his belt, and I tried to make a run for it.

Luke suddenly smashed the rod over my head once more. I was barely concouis when I felt a burning on my bare back. I yelped. Luke grabbed both my wrists and pinned me to the ground. He hovered over my unclothed frame.

"I knew," I managed. "That you were-" Luke silenced me by shoving a rag down my throat so far I gagged. Bile rose to my throat and I felt it go back down, forcefully.

My vision was blurry, so I didn't understand what Luke was doing, but I could feel my hands were being tugged at. A few moments later I felt a sharp pain on my chest, and a whipping sound followed when his belt hit my stomach. I wanted to cry, but no tears left my eyes. I kicked and writhed because I felt unfathomable pain as Luke thrusted angrily. I screamed to a point where my throat was hoarse but no one could hear me.

I didn't know how much longer Luke could go, but I knew why he did what he did, it wasn't because he was a twisted monster, which he was, or because he enjoyed it, which he did. But because he was a Southern rebel, and a spy, and he wanted me out of the Selection. This was his way of trying to frame me in a cheating scandal

I yelled for anyone to help me, but no one ever came. I yelled, begged for my own death, but Luke showed me no mercy. All the time, not one tear dropped from my eyes. My mind was void of emotions, the pain of Luke's acts was too much. My body was growing tired but I still couldn't cry. After what felt like hours, I finally lost concouisness.
