"A knight shining in the warm light, a defender in the darkest night." A pluck of string sang across the winds, "From a family that formed pillars of height, duties that were meant to carry with pride."

The voice of a bard can be heard as he continued, "Born of religion and steel, his compassion and love through everyone, he did not conceal." Another strum, "With might will he fight until his last breath, but even then death will not take him away."

He turned facing multiple individuals.

"Wherever may he be the winds will guide him, for when he returns, he returns to open arms, the land of freedom will welcome him home." The final strum had rung letting the wind blow carrying the dandelions across the skies.

The setting cleared itself. On the statue of the Anemo Archon, near the Cathedral stood multiple known individuals around Mondstadt. One being the famous tone-deaf bard Venti the had a soft smile on his lips as he felt the wind howl behind his back.

"A fond celebration for the city's old protector." He chuckled, "Don't you think so? Our proud Knights."

A blonde-haired individual tied to a ponytail shifted herself while there was a Blue haired individual that had a smile painted across his lips.

Amongst the two was another blonde-haired individual with a floating companion beside them, they seemed to pay respects as well but of course, a hint of confusion was seen on their faces.

"You look troubled there Traveler." The bard stated, "What's on your mind?"

"Nothing in particular." They shook it off, "I'm just surprised that Grandmaster Jean and Kaeya are here."

"But of course." Kaeya spoke proudly, "I wouldn't miss such an important day."

"What's so important about today?" The floating companion questioned.

"Well, today is a special occasion to celebrate one of, as Venti mentioned, Mondstadt's old protector." Jean replied, "Though unfortunately, it's only I and Kaeya that attended since the others are busy with their work."

"Mondstadt's old... protector?" The said floating companion questioned, "Oh did you mean Dvalin?" She asked.

Venti shook his head, "Nope!" He replied, "We already set him off on the last Windblum Festival remember?"

"Then... is it that Vannessa person?" She questioned.

"Not quite." Suddenly a familiar voice had caught everyone off guard.

All of them looked to see who it was and to their surprise Diluc Ragnvindr himself approaching them carrying what seems to be a pole-arm wrapped around with a cloth.

"The one they speak of is an old senior of ours, Master Valorian Schaefer." He continued walking straight to the podium laying down the weapon as he took off the cloth to reveal it is made of such custom they've never seen before.

"Master Diluc..." Jean murmured his name.

"The Caretaker as they call him, an unofficial title only to him alone." He spoke still facing at the spear, "Master Valor... whilst he is a Knight, he has my utmost respect. One that sees true evil and has the power to cleanse them, one that sees goodwill and has the power to uplift it."

He runs his finger along with the handle, "Despite his absence, those who truly remember him keeps their word to his wishes." He then turns to everyone crossing his arms, "And seeing the amount of Knights... that attended, they must be truly busy hmm?" A hint of distaste can be heard in his words.

"The Knights of Favonius always has their hands full." Kaeya jested.

The redhead scoffed as he walked stopping beside the traveler as he admired the object on the podium.

"Uhm... Paimon wants to know why you brought a... Spear." The floating one questioned.

"That's not any spear Paimon." Jean answered, "That's Master Valor's Lance."

"His Lance?" Paimon hummed, "Is there... anything special about it?"

Kaeya chucked.

"Hey! What's funny!?"

"Well, we asked the same thing to him long ago as well." Jean answered, "Say that the weapon is a magical one, imbued with something to make it special. If the one who wields it has no skill at all then would its specialty matter?" She smiled, "That's what he would always say."

"That... makes sense...? Maybe..?" Paimon scratched her head.

"He was always full with riddles, never giving a clear answer." Diluc piped up, "Though when it came to the end the only clear answer he did give us was a mere Yes..."

They all fell silent.

"Where did he go?" The traveler asked.

"We... we don't know." Jean replied.

"Wherever he might be, I'm certain that he found peace." Diluc added, "After all he needed it." And as soon he said those words he began walking off.

"You should go as well, you still have matters to attend to correct?" Kaeya said to Jean.

She turned to him, "Yes." And then to the traveler, "I'll be taking my leave now, please feel free to offer anything you wish, I'll be in the office if you need me."  With that, she left as well.

"I'll be here with the bard." Kaeya said, "I'll keep Master Valor's weapon safe, after all, we wouldn't want to lose such a precious item."

The traveler nodded as they take their leave as well, waving before they go off on another adventure.

"Master huh? I don't recall you addressing someone like that before." Venti chuckled as he stared at Kaeya.

"Oh but my good ol' bard... this isn't just someone." He smiled.

"I can tell." Venti replied, "It's the first time I heard Diluc address someone as Master as well."

The winds blew as they stayed admiring the bright yellow light shining upon them. Though what the people of Mondstadt don't know is that on the other side of the wall lies a surprise that they would not expect.
