"Thank you Brother Valor for joining us." The sweet tone of The Deaconess herself thanked the Captain of the Knights, "I'm sorry for calling you again, even though I've requested of you since yesterday."The afternoon skies had set itself at the City of Freedom. Valor and all other sisters have been in the church for their daily worshiping, though in this case, it's about distracting the unaware Captain as today was the day.
"I hope I didn't take too much of your time." Barbara bows her head once more.
"Please, it's alright." He waves his hand as he smiles, "Considering that most of the commissions are done, I'm pretty fine on handling things here."
"Oh? Aren't you tired?
"Not at all." He rubbed the back of his head, "Plus this is a good time to check up on you."
"I'm doing fine!" She replied with a wide smile, "There's no more of those... people bothering the entire Church.."
"You mean your so-called Fans?" Valor smirked as he pushed Barbara's buttons.
"I mean... I know they mean well." She replied, "And I'm thankful for their support, but... I have to admit that they do get in the way at times..."
"Good to know that they listened." He sighs as he remembered confronting those idiots, especially the leader of the said Fan Club, "I didn't want to break the poor guy's heart."
Barbara giggled, "I hope you weren't too mean."
"Pfft! Me? Mean?" He smirked, "I'm as lovely as the stars could be." He joked, "Besides they got what's coming to them, after setting you up with that questionable buried treasure hunt, and not even letting you rest while you got out for drinks."
"Mmm... then next time I'll take you as my bodyguard!" She chuckled.
The two shared their laughter until something had caught Barbara's eye. It was the Traveler waving at her, sneaking themselves inside the Church. It was clear to Barabara that it was the signal, though Valor couldn't help but seem curious on why she was looking behind him.
"Something wrong?" He questioned.
"O-Oh! U-Uhm..." She fiddled her fingers, she looked back and forth between him and the Traveler trying to come up with a way to not ruin the surprise, "Ah! My Chilibrew!"
Valor raised an eyebrow.
"I had forgotten my Chilibrew at the Angle's Share!" She smiled nervously.
"At Angle's Share? I thought you brew it on your own?" He hummed. Barbara was getting nervous until Valor just nodded, "You want to grab it? I'm thinking of grabbing a few drinks myself, I'm getting thirsty."
A thumbs-up was seen on the Traveler as Barbara sighed nodding as they went towards the door of the Church. The Traveler smiling as it was a success, quickly gathered their pace to alert the others.
Speaking of the others, everyone at the Tavern was about ready as they gathered around the food that was prepared at the table. As for the people who are there it was mostly the other Knights. Of course, that includes Kaeya, Jean, Amber, and so on. Lisa was also there along with a surprising visit of Rosaria. Though last but not the least, the most party-goer bard on the entirety of Mondstadt, Venti had joined the battle.
The Traveler had knocked on the door thrice letting them know it's them entering the room.
"Alright, everyone!" They beamed, "He's almost here!"
"Yay Barbara!" Amber cheered with them.
"Shhh! Paimon hears them!" She shushed.
Heavy steps were heard at the door as they seemed to stop momentarily, before opening the door.
