It was another day for the City of Freedom as the wind blew letting the windmills turn and spin. It was bright, distinct chatter was heard throughout, the market full of people once again. The Knight of Favonius was out patrolling, as usual, some busier than the others since the number of commissions has yet to die down, in other words, it's just a normal day for Mondstadt's people.
Though there was someone that they were not prepared for, outside beyond the walls an individual was walking on the bridge towards the Main Gate of the City. Wearing a brown cloak he moved until he reached the entrance.
He took a deep breath as he scaled the walls seeing how they were still the same he smiled, as soon as he was there he approached the two guards.
"Welcome to Mondstadt, Strange yet respectable traveler!" The brown-haired Knight greeted, "Please state your identity and intended destination. The Knights of Favonius are here to ensure your safety."
He then looks at his partner, he signals him something as the other nodded.
"If it's your first time here, I'd recommend visiting Mondstadt's Cathedral!" He then said, "Or if you're tired from your journey, then go have some of Mondstadt's famous wine at a tavern called 'Angel's Share.'"
The cloaked individual chuckled, "Who knew that you two would be the ones guarding the Gate of Mondstadt." He smiled. "This sure is a surprise."
The two Knights looked at each other, they both closed the gap between each other as they whispered.
The brunette immediately cleared his throat, "Pardon us... but do you know who we are? And if so then are you perhaps a local here?" He asked.
"Hmm..." He hummed, "I suppose it has been a while huh... Swan and Lawrence." He mutters pushing his hood off revealing his face.
A light browned haired man with a medium length with bangs blocking parts of his brows, bright yellow eyes fixated themselves unto them as a scar can be seen diagonally across the bridge of his nose.
There was a pause, their eyes widen, jaws dropped as they realized who it was standing in front of them.
"Master Valor?!" They both exclaimed in unison.
"Shhh!" He shushes them, placing his index finger on his lips as he chuckled, "Be quiet you two, don't yell it out so loudly."
"B-But Master! It's really you!" Swan replied, "You were gone for years and then you suddenly just walked up here!"
"Y-Yeah! W-We gotta tell the Grand Master about this!" Lawrence added.
Valor placed his hands on their shoulders, "Please you two will do no such thing." He calmed them down, "There's no need to place such a Grand event on my return, After all, I'm just a normal citizen of Mondstadt."
The two looked at each other as they nodded. "But Master..." Swan sighed, "Alright we understand..."
"But.. where will you be going?" Lawrence asked.
"I'll have a few stops to make, but my destination will be at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters." Valor replied, "I believe that checks out in the Handbook? Swan?" He teased.
"Y-Yes, sir!" He stood tall as he brought his right hand unto his chest for their signature salute as Lawrence did the same.
"Take care you two." Valor smiled as walked through the gate to see a familiar sight. Mondstadts architectural houses with the green fauna overgrowing at the sides of the wall, hanging flags that placed just by the rooftops and the stairs leading to the marketplace.
