Megan's POV:

I sat in class with Lilly next to me. Stacy was running late.

"So, when are you going to confess?" I asked her.

"Soon," She looked down, blushing.

"You say that every time! Soon isn't even soon!" I exclaimed.

"Fine, today after school," She sighed.

"Yay!" I silently celebrated.

As the end of the day came, I walked into the house to find my parents screaming at each other more than ever.

I walked into the kitchen, attempting to block them out.

"SIGN THE FUCKING PAPERS!" My father screamed. I looked at the table to see divorce papers with my parents' names on them.

"Divorce papers?" My voice was already cracked, knowing my mother would sign them with no hesitation.

"I can't deal with this screaming anymore. We're over," My father spoke sternly. My mother picked up the pen and signed below her name, breaking my heart.

"What about me?" I questioned, knowing that neither of them would take me.

"You're staying with me," My father's voice was stern and hard. "The other one goes to her."

"The other one has a name," My mother stood up for my sister.

This is how my family worked.

One person yells, the other yells.

"Just go pack your things," My father ordered.

My mother left the room and went up to hers. My father turned to me.

"I already have a girlfriend who'll be moving in soon," He walked out of the room.

I fell onto my knees, breaking down into a stream of tears.

After so much work, it came to this. I tried so hard to keep them together. And it all ended.

I got up and ran to my room, hiding the tears that roamed my face. I locked the door and kneeled down, picking up a ripped picture of me and my mother.

It must have ripped by accident.

I put it down on my bedside table and sighed.

My life's over.

First I lost my best friend. Now I lost my mother.

What can I lose now?
