Heather's POV:
I sat in class, next to Lilliana, anguished about how Stacy survived. She walked into class, her backpack slung over her shoulder. She sat down next to Lilliana and smiled softly at her.
"So, I'm guessing your relationship is going well," I rolled my eyes internally.
"Actually, we broke up," Stacy admitted.
"What?" My eyes widened.
"But we're still friends," Lilliana smiled.
"Oh," I sighed.
After class, I went straight to Jake's locker and found him shoving his books into it.
"Hey," I spoke softly, making him turn his attention to me.
"Hey Heath," He had the weirdest nicknames for girls but I have to do what I have to do. "I-"
I cut him off by smashing my lips onto his.
God, he was the worst kisser. His lips were always dry and rusted. His breath always tasted like gutters. And honestly, he just didn't know how a kiss worked.
I pulled away and faked a smile.
"What were you saying?" I asked innocently.
"I wanted to know," He reached into his locker and pulled out a box with a corsage in it. "Will you go to the Fall Gesture Dance with me?"
The plan couldn't go more perfect.
We were back on track.
"Of course," I smiled. He got up and kissed me once more.
"Thank you," He whispered as he pulled away.
Oh, this is going to be fun.
