No Love

"I have the magnets, here you go." I said, handing her the round magnets.

"Great. It will take a while to get them on and working but these will do. We've summoned Professor Scara to help with Liberty Prime." Ingram said. Ingram had no legs and was in a 'power armor frame.' I nodded at the nearby woman in a lab coat.

"What we'll need next is a beryllium agitator to power him up." Ingram said. "It's in Mass Fusion but the Institute seems to be wanting it too."

"I guess we fight our way through the place." I said.

"I of course will be coming with you." she said.

"I- I think I'm fine for now." I said.

"I'm coming anyway. Let me know when you're ready on the Prydwen."

I walked off, glancing at Liberty Prime. I then saw Danse again.

"I heard about your next assignment."

"You hear a lot of things." I mumbled.

"I'm going to the Glowing Sea to get some nukes for Liberty Prime." he said. I knew he was playing with me.

"Please don't test my patience." I said.

"I just wanted to wish you good luck, Omega."

"I guess good luck to you too." I said, walking away. I sensed this Glowing Sea was dangerous and I kinda hoped he would be safe... because he was a fellow man let's say. "Will you have any company?" I asked, regretting it.

"Yes," he said. "Another Knight."

"Good. Great." I nodded. I was acting strange and I didn't like it so I tried to walk away but he put his arms out.

"Is there something wrong?" he asked.

"No, Danse. Stop asking." I said.

"You're acting strange is all."

"I know and I'm trying to get rid of the behavior and move on." I said quickly, and pretty calmly. I walked away with Danse looking at me. I went to Ingram and told her I was ready.

"What took you so long?"

"Just was talking to Danse." I scoffed.

"You seem to be bothered by it." she observed.

"It's fine."

"Maybe he likes you." she said casually.

"What? I don't think so..." I said. "I can't have any romantic relationships."

"Strict rules but always happen at some point." she shrugged the best way she could in her power armor. We boarded the vertibird and it got me thinking. I certainly hope it won't happen to me.
