I saw it. The anger in me as I flashed back that moment. I almost killed him. I- I can't live like this. I couldn't control it but-
I woke up at the Castle in a private room alone. I looked down at my arm and had a new robotic one. I moved it around, feeling strange. I didn't have any more anger inside me and I tried to get out of bed, breathing heavily.
"You shouldn't have done that." Darro walked into the room. "You should've controlled it."
"I know, I couldn't help it."
"You wouldn't help it." he corrected. "Jedi must control their anger."
I looked down, thinking about the moment.
"Master Yoda would like to see you." Darro said, walking away.
I looked down at my new arm. It was the scar I'll always live by now. I pulled out my holoprojector and took a deep breath.
"Hrmmm. Snapped into the dark side, you have."
"I'm sorry Master." I said. "I was-"
"Feel your fear, I do. Fear is the path to the darkside. Keep fearing, anger rise in you it will. Hate, you will. Suffer then, for choices you had made."
"Master, how can I do this? I don't want to be on the dark side and fight for bad."
"Change, that will. Darkside, once turned to, want to kill, you will." he said.
"Master, I won't let this happen again, but I don't know how. I need your guidance." I said.
"Tense I feel in you, yes. Calm you must be. Meditate often, you must and healed, you will be."
"Yes, master, Thank you master."
"Only in the Force, trust, Omega. May the Force be with you."
I stared at the holoprojector for a moment and sensed someone behind me.
"General, you're ok." Preston said.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I said.
"I wasn't sure if you'd make it but you must be strong."
"I guess." I said.
"So, Elder Maxson and the rest of the Brotherhood is destroyed. But we must focus on the Institute now."
"I'm sure we can find them and defeat them." I said. "With our back up and some other things we can do it."
"I sure hope so. By the way, I heard another settlement needs our help."
"Preston, I can take care of things when I can. Remember what Master Darro said." I said.
"Yeah, alright. See you around then General. Good to see you back up."
I went to get redressed because I was still in my older clothes. I put on a thin tunic and a new cloak. I covered my robotic arm and went outside. I saw the ruins of the Prydwen in the distance and wondered about Danse. I used the Force and felt his life essence... behind me.
"Danse?"
"You're ok!" he said, running to hug me. I didn't bother to push him away but didn't hug him back.
"But- I almost killed you."
"I know, I was being a fool." he said, backing away.
"You don't feel that. I was." I said. "I held on to the jedi code too much and should've followed it calmly."
"Oh, that's-"
"I'm still following it." I said.
"Oh, yes, sorry." he said. "But you're so-"
"I convinced Danse that they were the bad guys and he came with us." Darro said with crossed arms.
"You didn't use a jedi mind trick, did you?"
"Absolutely not." he assured. "But he insisted on coming and joining us."
"Because of you." Danse said.
"But-"
"It is strictly against the jedi code to have any relationships with other people or things. Omega knows that."
"Why not?"
"It leads to the dark side." he said. "I'll go meditate for guidance, Omega will meditate to be calm and perhaps guidance too. I'll know about you Danse."
I walked away down to my room to meditate as Darro said to do. I sat down and closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing. I felt calm and relaxed. I then sought guidance to the Institute. I saw a cave in this Glowing Sea. A crater full of crazy people who call out something called Atom. I saw a glimpse of the Institute and a white wearing man teleporting out of it, with other men chasing him. I then knew a rogue scientist was hiding in the Glowing Sea somewhere. I came out of meditation and saw Danse had followed me.
"Don't make Master Darro think I'm a part of this." I said, getting up and digging into my bag. I pulled out a preserved flower. My mother gave it to me as I was taken away by the Jedi order to become a jedi. I sniffed the flower, still smelling its freshness. I knew it was for the greater good to become a jedi. I just didn't think I'd make it so far. I put it back and turned to Danse, who had closed the doors of my room. I saw he was wearing regular road leathers and removed the hood he always had on. His hair was.... I went over to leave the room when he grabbed me.
"What are you doing, Danse?" I said calmly.
"Your eyes, skin. So smooth." I wasn't expecting it but he kissed me. He let me go and I was still shocked, having so many things in my mind. I snapped out of it and walked out of the room, sensing Danse looking down at his hands. I went up to Darro.
"There's a rogue scientist in the Glowing Sea who may have information to get into the Institute."
"Very good," he said.
"The glowing sea is the most dangerous place in the Commonwealth, though." Preston said.
"We could take an ARC-170 Starfighter." I said. "Will that work?"
"It will certainly most likely work." Darro said. "Prepare a ship for battle and transportation."
"Yes, sir." a clone said obediently. Clones were designed to be most obeying. I thought that as a flaw as they could be commanded by anyone who would want to ruin things. But the Jedi Council assured me none of the generals or other jedi and senators would want to betray us with the clones. I was still iffy about it. I got ready and boarded the ARC-170 Starfighter and flew west - southwest to where the bombs fell. It had gotten stormier and radiation was getting to the clones but we gave them rad x and rad away. We arrived at the crater and I asked around for the rogue scientist. They directed us southwest and we arrived at the cave. There was a deathclaw nearby it and we fired our rockets and other weapons at it, killing it almost in an instant. Darro and I rushed inside and we saw turrets and chimes in the tunnel. We used the Force to pass by it and were confronted by a super mutant. I pulled my lightsaber to my hand, ready to ignite it but Darro stopped me.
"Who are you? What do you want?" it asked.
"We are seeking guidance to get into the Institute. Are you the rogue scientist?"
"Yes I am. But no one has ever been able to get in and back out alive unless they're a part of the Institute. What do you want with them?"
"To destroy them and help the Commonwealth. We are at war and this place could be useful for us."
"Destroy them? They're innocent people in there."
"It's the only option. It's war." I said, hitching my lightsaber.
"It is certainly our only option. Now what information do you have?"
The scientist, Virgil, told us about teleportation and how to teleport in.
"Thank you Virgil. We can get you the serum." I promised.
"Come on, Omega. We have work to do." Darro said, walking out of the cave.
