(Kaede's POV)
After about an hour of explaining to Tenko everything that's happened in our relationship so far, her eyes were wide open, and jaw dropped to the floor.
"Wow. Seriously Kaede, you have the WORST luck ever."
Miu chuckled and as I blushed from embarrassment. "It'll kill me one day, I swear."I checked my phone and realized it was already time for dinner in the cafeteria, which me and Miu never really go to, but there wasn't anything else to talk to Tenko about so I figured dinner would be the best idea.
"Well, we better be on our way now, to go eat. You can come if you'd like?"
Miu sighed. "Don't bring THAT ugly skank.."
I gave her a look of anger, telling her to be nicer. I'm working on it with her..
Tenko decided not to go, plainly because of Miu's threats. I couldn't blame her.
"I wonder what they're serving today.." I thought. We walked into the giant cafeteria, only to the strong scent of something.. good! But also gross?
"Uh.. the food smells interesting." I told Miu as we walked into the line.
"To say the least. I'm sure it's good though, that pervert Teruteru cooked it, and he's the Ultimate Chef or something.." Miu added.
I decided to trust her, and the food they were serving were sushi rolls and tempura. Those were my favorite foods, so I automatically grabbed them and headed towards the table that most of my class was at. I noticed Shuichi and Kokichi getting a bit close, which was weird considering they hated each other at the beginning of the year. Miu started up a conversation with Rantaro, so I decided to speak with Maki for a bit.
"Hey Maki! How have you been, I feel like we haven't talked at all since you invited us to.. the party.." I mumbled towards the end, not really wanting to remember that whole situation.
"I'm good, I guess. Nothing much, you know. Just school and the occasional having to bare through Kaito's dumb space rants."
I giggled. "Are you guys.. together?"
Maki hesitated, and looked to Kaito who wasn't paying attention to us whatsoever. ".. Yes."
I smiled, feeling happy that my classmates were finding people that they enjoyed hanging out with, like I did. I glanced at Miu, who noticed I was staring and gave me a little wink. I blushed, looking away and instead staring intently at my food.
I pushed a couple rolls of sushi into my mouth, and instantly noticed something was off. "Hey Maki.. do you notice something weird with the rolls?"
"No. Do you?"
I nodded, and turned towards Kirumi, thinking she probably knew more about how food was supposed to taste than me.
"Kirumi," I shouted across the table. She slightly tilted her head, gesturing that she could hear me. "do you taste anything weird with this sushi?"
She shook her head no, and I sighed. Must just be me then. I decided that I was done with my food, as the weird sushi rolls kinda made me loose my appetite.
"Miu, want my food?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"Is that even a question? Of course I do!" She shoved everything into her mouth, making me laugh and Maki shaking her head with a smile.
~ timeskip to after dinner ~
(Miu's POV)
Me and Kaede decided to go on a walk around the campus, as we've never really done that before. The cherry blossom trees were making my nose itchy, and the blazing sun was burning my head, but it was worth it because she was with me.
"Miu.. I don't feel so good.." Kaede groaned, hugging her stomach."Same, these allergies are killing me." I replied.
"No.. you don't get it. I feel REALLY sick."
"Wanna go back to your dorm?"
She nodded her head, and we walked back to her dorm, Kaede seeming sicker and sicker by the moment. As soon as we reached it, she headed for the toilet and puked everywhere.
"Oh god! Kaede! Are you alright?"
"I told you.. the sushi. It wasn't good."
"But- oh no. YOU GAVE ME YOUR SUSHI!"
Me and Kaede stood in shock as we realized we both probably got food poisoning from whatever was in that sushi. I felt fine, but who knew, you never know when the symptoms will come. Before I was bedridden as well, I decided it would be best to make sure Kaediot had everything she needed.
"Please lay down.. I'll get you some water."
