"Miu.. w-why did you say that?" - Chapter 6

(Miu's POV)

As soon as we knew it, the nurse that worked for the school (because Mikan was literally dying) was carrying her into the nurse's office.

As she was leaving, me and Kaede heard Mikan whispering,

"I-I'm sorry.. for.. c-causing.. a-a.. scene.."

As me and Kaede walked away, still a little concerned, I held her hand as tight as ever.

"Are.. you okay?" She asked me.

"Obviously! God, why do you care so much?" I snapped. I immediately regretted it.

She let go of my hand.

"I- I.. sorry Miu.." She mumbled, tears in her eyes.

"Kaede! Wait!" I yelled as she ran away.

Oh my god.. why did I do that? I knew why. I clinged onto Kaede so fast and.. I couldn't get past my ego. I did that because I didn't know why Kaede liked me. I didn't even like myself, really..

I sped run back to my dorm. I was still in shorts and a tank top, so I was freezing.
What did I do?

I decided I needed to text her. No, I needed to give her something.. but what?

At 4 AM, I got dressed, brushed my hair, and put on my shoes. Mission "Cheer Kaede Up and Make Sure you Didn't Fuck Up Your Relationship!"

I headed down to the school store (A/N: pretend that exists) and picked out some chocolate, flowers, and a "Calming Piano Music" CD. She's a pianist, she has to love stuff like that.

I checked out, and luckily I had enough money.

I made my way to her dorm. I decided to text her and tell her I was coming, because if she was asleep that might be a little scary.

Me: Kaede, I'm coming over.. is that okay?
read 4:15 am
Kaede: I guess.

I knocked on her door anxiously.

As soon as she opened it, her hair was messed up, her face was red, and she was visibly upset.

I went straight into hug her, and started crying.

"Kaede! I'm so sorry.. I don't know what happened. I lost control of myself. I love you.. I didn't mean to hurt you.." I was sobbing at this point.

She was crying too. She closed the door and we walked over to her couch.

"Miu.. w-why did you say that?" She questioned.

I sighed. "To be honest.. I've never really had anyone care for me like you do. I wasn't used to it. I couldn't get past my ego. I'm so sorry.. this is why I've never had anyone. I always do stuff like this.."

"I-It's okay. I understand." She said.
