"Whatever you say, Bakamatsu." - Chapter 7

(Kaede's POV)

Eventually we both fell asleep. I woke up the next day and realized Valentine's Day was tomorrow.
"Shit-" I whispered, making sure not to wake Miu up.

I attempted to sit up, but I realized Miu had her arms wrapped around me. I sighed and grabbed my phone that was luckily in arm distance.

I typed into the search bar, "restaurants near me"

I decided that Miu would probably like the bakery most of all of them. I checked my calendar and saw.. I had a conference with my english teacher tomorrow? I don't remember that being scheduled. And on Valentine's Day? Weird. I decided to shrug it off and to wake Miu up.

"Pssssht. Miu! MIU! MIU IRUMA!" I spoke softly at first, though my voice got louder and louder.

"W-what? Stop yelling at me!" She said sleepily.

"Sorry. Want to take a shower?" I asked.

"H-huh? Do I really smell that bad? F-fine.. where are the towels? And can you pick out some clothes for me while I'm in there?"

"Well.. I actually was asking if we could take a shower together." I replied.

"O-oh- u-uh.. I guess.." She shakily answered.

"Yay!" I exclaimed. I grabbed the nearest towel and Miu's hand.

Miu was still tired, so she wasn't as enthusiastic as me. I turned on the water.

"Don't look at me, bitch!" Miu shouted as she took off her shirt.

"You know we- never mind-" I brushed off what I was going to say.

"Shut up!-"

We both got into the shower. She refused to look at me.

"Hey- it's okay you know?" I reassured her.

"Whatever you say, Bakamatsu." She replied angrily.

"Hey! Don't call me that." I squealed.

(Miu's POV)

As much as I don't want to be embarrassed by this.. I am? I reached for the two-and-one shampoo and conditioner.

"Kaede.. why do you have this crusty ass shampoo and conditioner? Gross. You should use separate ones.." I scolded her.

"Why the hell do you care? If you hate my soap so much go buy me some different ones-"

We continued arguing for a while until we realized we've been in the shower for way too long. I stepped out and Kaede followed behind me.

"Can I pick out some clothes for you? I have a place I want to take you." She asked.

"Sure..?"

Kaede picked out a cute pink fuzzy sweater for me with some jeans and a white belt.

"As much as I didn't want you to pick out my outfit, it's surprisingly good." I was genuinely impressed.

She smiled at me.
"Will you pick out mine then?" She suggested.

"Why not, I guess.."

I looked through her clothes and saw a white button up and pink skirt.
"What about this?" I asked.

"But it's cold outside!" She squeaked.

After what seemed like hours of trying to find an outfit for her, I settled on a pair of dark blue jeans and a yellow floral shirt.

"Are you ready? Let's go on our date then!" Kaede beamed.

"D-date?-"
