"...no matter what,
I'll always care for you..."Days passed and passed. It was the same thing
everyday. Waking up, going to classes and going back to your dorm. There was nor joy in your life anymore. The spark was gone. You started cutting again, hard. It made you feel something. Even if it was pain. It showed you that you were still here, still breathing.Over the past weeks you distanced yourself from all your friends. They were all worried that you might do something to yourself and it made you sick. Why couldn't everyone just leave you alone?!
You were currently on your way to the library to get some new books to read.
The search for a new book was exhausting.
You'd usually get one with Fred where you'd read
to one each other.
But there was no Fred anymore. You scoffed as you couldn't reach a book that was on the highest level of the shelf. Just then a hand slid up and handed it to you. Your eyes wandered up to met Fred's gaze. Anger was filling up your eyes as he smiled at you.
After smiling at you weakly his eyes wandered down to see your arms. They were still up to get the book. His eyes were filling up with fear.
The book in his hand fell to the ground as he grabbed your arm. Rolling up the sleeve of your uniform harshly. The tears were filling up his eyes as he stared at all those new cuts.
He knew he was the reason for it.
"I never wanted you to do this." Fred shuttered as more tear we're filling up his eyes. His eyes sight was already blurry from all those salty tears. He never wanted you to do this, he just tried to make everyone happy. But all he did was rip your heart into a thousand pieces.
"Y- you told me you'd stop." Fred whispered with the first tear rolling down his cheek.
Your eyes were filled with anger as you stared at him.
"And you told me you loved me, it makes us both liars." You scoffed as you ripped away your arm.
"And now stop pretending when you really do not." You continued as you fixed your clothes again. You walked away in anger but stopped as soon as you heard Fred's soft sob. Your heart shrunk only by hearing his soft sobs.
You slowly turned towards to Fred and walked back to see him sitting in the floor, crying into his knees. Why did he pretend to care?!
But most importantly, why did you still care for a boy that cheated on you?The strength in your legs was gone and soon enough you sat there next to him. The floor was cold and unwelcoming.
"Why are you here?" Fred asked as he burried his face into his hands.
"Because I no matter what I do, I'll always care for you." You scoffed.
You both sat there in silence. It was the first time you had spend time with him after the break up.
There were in fact no words needed. All you both needed was each other..."Wasn't that book the next one on our list?" Fred whispered as he took the book again.
"It was." You answered as you got up and walked away. There was no point in helping him when he didn't even choose you. It was over and you finally had to accept that. Just as your hand touched the door knob you heard Fred shout your name.
"Don't you wanna take that?" Fred asked, obviously out of breath.
Your eyes wandered up to met his gaze.
Anger was filling up your stomach.
"Keep it, I'm pretty sure Angelina would like this romantic bullshit." You scoffed with an sarcastic smile on your face.A single tear was rolling down Fred's cheek as he watched you leave. It was the moment he realized what he lost. He lost the person he loved more than anything. And yet he didn't seem to know what to do...
