Bailey was sitting on the couch, watching some TV with her new best friend, Daisy. She decided she wanted to bond as much as she possibly could with her new dog. As she rubbed the dogs head, she shoved some potato chips into her mouth and fed a small one to Daisy. "Good girl!" she complimented. She shoved some more into her mouth, and Natalie started coming down the stairs.
"Whoa, why are you dressed so strange?" Bailey asked. Natalie was wearing a cropped tank top and some leggings, and her hair was in a bun.
"I'm going to go check out the gym nearby," she answered. "You can come if you'd like."
Bailey looked offended. "Um," she started with her mouth full. She swallowed and continued, "Sorry, but I'm kinda busy. Besides, I'm already fit enough; just look at this gorgeous body!" She stood up to show off.
"Right. You know, you're not gonna be very fit for long if you keep eating chips and junk like that." Natalie pointed to the giant chip bag sitting next to Bailey on the couch.
"So what? I'll eat fruit," Bailey insisted.
Natalie shook her head. "Fruit's not gonna cut it," she warned. "But I mean if you don't really care to be thin, then I guess I'll just go by myself."
"Alright, alright I'll come," Bailey said, taking one more mouthful of chips. "Just let me get changed." She ran up the stairs and Natalie grabbed her water bottle off of the counter.
As they entered the gym, Bailey was fixing up her ponytail to make sure she looked as good as possible.
"Why don't you go on the treadmill first?" Natalie suggested.
"Sure, but I'm not running," Bailey informed. She walked over to the treadmill and Natalie went to go stretch on the mats beside it.
Bailey stepped up to the treadmill and stared at the millions of buttons on the panel. "You know how to work one of these, don't you?" Natalie asked.
"Of course I do," Bailey said, and hovered her finger over the buttons. After about five seconds, Natalie hit the "start" button and turned the speed on low. "I knew that," Bailey said as she started walking.
"Sure," Natalie remarked and headed over to do some stretches.
After a while of walking, Bailey mentioned, "Oh my goodness, walking is literally so easy. Look, I've already burned like 25 calories!"
"Oh wow!" Natalie answered. "What a record!"
"What's that supposed to mean?" Bailey asked, noticing the sarcasm in Natalie's voice.
"Oh, nothing," Natalie said. She picked up a weight and started curling. "Just let me know when you're done."
Bailey turned off the treadmill and said, "I'm done."
"What? We've only been working out for less than 5 minutes."
"So?" Bailey questioned. "I'm done. When are we leaving?"
Natalie put down the weight. "Maybe in an hour," she responded. "What's your rush?"
"It's nothing, it's just-" Bailey put her hand on her hip and pulled out her phone. "I don't want to be seen like this."
"What? Why? Are you ashamed of working out?"
"Well, no. But my face feels red."
Natalie looked at her for a second. "It's fine," she said. "Here, why don't you try lifting some weights."
"Fine," Bailey said as she stepped off the treadmill. Natalie picked up a weight and handed it to Bailey, and started curling a different weight. Bailey did about two curls and put the weight down. "Nope," she said. "No, no no no."
