Natalie was in the bedroom doing something she had never done before. She decided she should jump out of her comfort zone and try something besides sketching. Bailey enjoyed doing makeup and designing outfits. Instead of sketching, Natalie was.. drawing with paint pens. She had them for a while, but she was too nervous to use them with no experience.
While she was using them, Bailey headed into the bedroom. "Oh, hey Bailey," she greeted.
Bailey grabbed her purse off of the bedpost. "Hey Natalie, don't mind me I'm just grabbing my purse and then I'll be heading out."
"Where are you going?"
"To the spa," Bailey answered.
Natalie frowned. "Again? You've been to the spa like three days this week."
"Yeah, well.."
"Why are you going so much?"
Bailey shrugged. "You'll see tomorrow," she said.
"Oh, I will?"
"Yeah."
"Well, what are you going to do?" Natalie insisted asking.
"You'll see."
Natalie set her paint drawing thing down and asked, "You're not going to dye your hair again, are you?"
"No. But I could get extensions," Bailey said as she brushed her fingers through her smooth hair.
"Are you going to come home with new nails again?"
"Nope."
"Are you going to come home with a better friend than me?"
Bailey hesitated a bit. "Some might say, but not really," she hinted.
Natalie sighed and rested her head on her hand. "I guess I'll just have to wait, huh?" she asked.
"Yep. But it's only a day away, so you'll survive. But anyway I have to go or else I'll be late."
"Okay, see ya." Bailey headed out the door. Natalie watched until she heard the front door. She rolled her eyes. "She better not come home with a boyfriend," she thought aloud. "I had a hard enough time with Dan.."
The next day, later in the evening, Natalie was chatting on the phone while going back to her sketching. "I think I'm free then," she said into the phone. "Possibly. I'll have to make sure Bailey's all good to be at home alone. Actually, I'll just send her to the mall or something. Yeah, I know I was thinking about it. Alright."
Bailey opened up the door. She had extensions in and her hair was in a ponytail. She came in with a paper in her hand and waited for Natalie to get off the phone.
"Oh, Bailey's back," Natalie said. "Yep, I'll call you later. Love you too, bye!!" She hung up the phone.
"Ooh, who do you love?" Bailey asked, putting her arms behind her back and winking.
"My mom," Natalie said.
"Oh-"
Natalie put the phone down. "Nah, I'm kidding. It was Jon."
Baileys mouth opened wide with a smile. "Ooh, someone's got a guy! Ohhh-!"
"Shut up!"
Bailey laughed and pulled out her phone.
"Anyway, the thing you wanted to show me..?" Natalie asked, changing the subject.
"Oh, yeah!" Bailey grabbed the piece of paper harder and handed it to Natalie. "It's not for you, but you can look at it."
