Hello, loves!

I wanted to give you all a sneak peek on a story I am working on which will take the place of Guns & Roses when it is finished. Again, the outline for this story has around 55-58 chapter rn, depending on how long certain scenes take to write. And A LOT is going to happen.

This story I am working on is called "Kill My Mind," obviously from Louis' song. It was inspired by the video above by Anastasia Jey on YouTube! I just came across the video randomly on YouTube and thought of this story idea. It's a really great video!

Summary:

Louis is a small time singer trying to get his foot in the door of the industry to hit the big time. He plays at local settings, trying to spread his music and name around. When he plays at a nightclub run by one of his mates, he suddenly runs into someone from his past that he had hoped to forget, but the boy he once knew always seemed to linger in his mind.

Only now, this man was nothing like the kind, shy boy he knew. Looking into the crowd of the nightclub, the man's eyes were glazed over and devoid of emotion.

Louis despised him, still, with every inch of his being.

Sneak Peek:

We finally reached the side of the stage, and I could hear the excitement from the customers out there. They were probably already having the time of their lives, getting drunk off their asses and finding solace in any random stranger for the night.

"Ready?" Zayn grinned, and I just nodded. He moved in to give me a hug, which I reciprocated, and then he was pushing me on stage as my name was announced on the speakers of the club.

The music died down, and I walked up to the microphone. Zayn had a band set to back me up. Usually, I played alone. It was less distracting. Relationships, especially band relationships, were difficult to navigate.

Nevertheless, it was time to turn on the performer inside of me.

"Hello everyone. Hope everyone's having a good night tonight. How's your drinks treating you?" I wondered, getting loud cheers from the crowd in front of me. It was laughable to see that so many people could barely even stand upright anymore. There was one guy leaning on, who I assumed was, his girlfriend. She was laughing at him and pressing a kiss to his lips as she balanced both of them.

"Shout out to my mate, Niall, at the bar for that," I announced, holding up the drink I had on stage toward him. The audience didn't have to know it was only a cup of tea.

Niall laughed from where he was as many other people mimicked my actions. "My name is Louis Tomlinson, and I think we need some music to keep the party going. What do you guys say? Want to hear a few songs?"

Again, the crowd erupted in an uproarious cheer. It was full of drunken whoops and yeahs, and I heard one girl call out that I was, and I quote, 'fucking hot.'

"Oh, well, thanks, love," I winked her way, making her laugh to her friends. "This first one's for you."

I held onto the microphone with both hands as the band behind me began to play my music. As I began to sang, I closed my eyes, feeling the music run through me. And when I opened them, I scanned the crowd, seeing them dancing along to the song, nodding their heads to the rhythm. There were some people who even knew the lyrics, making me grin as I put more of myself into the song. Each lyric meant something special to me.

I continued the same way through the next song, and then I paused as I looked further back into the crowd. The lighting on my set was due to shift, illuminating the crowd a little more in hues of red lighting. And back, in one of the booths that sat along the edge of the bar, I saw him.
