Cindy Miller walked into class and timidly sat at the back. She was a transfer student and she found it difficult to associate with her class mates. Although she was very beautiful with her light brown eyes and wavy brown hair. Her class mates considered her a weirdo because of her behavior. Their first class was History and Mr. Gilbert, their history teacher started the class with a rush.
At first Cindy was listening but she could not help but notice Jake who deeply stared at her. When She completely turned to face him, he looked away. They had never spoken to each other. Cindy was surprised that someone found her interesting and maybe pretty. She smiled and decided to pay attention to the teacher.
"...and then the next is Seville Hill"
Jake who was never concentrating looked up."Seville Hill is found in Edmonton, yes just the town nearby. This town is endowed with so many resources but it well known for something strange. Now in 1993 a man called Vic Carlos dug a well and it was for the benefit of everyone in the town. Some said the well had the purest water you can ever find, so everybody drank from it. After some years Vic Carlos died. The cause of his death is still a mystery but it somehow related to the people"
he paused "Suddenly different records of death cases started to pop up and everything relates back to Seville Hill.
Its deep in the woods, just a hill and anyone who saw and came back alive reported that the grasses did not grow an inch ever since Vic Carlos gave up the ghost, since so many years nothing had grown or changed except the forest around the hills up till today, nobody dares to go up Seville Hill and even the government has marked that place a no go area"
The whole class was silent and then Cindy mistakenly said out her mind.
"What if there is nothing wrong with the hill anymore, I mean no body has been there in a long time"
The whole class looked back at her. MR. Gilbert smiled mockingly, "Sure. You can go check it out. It's not so far anyway."
After classes Cindy angrily pushed her books into her locker. She took in a deep breath and then let it out. "It doesn't always have to be like this" she whispered to herself. She closed her locker, her heart jumped up when she saw Jake staring at her, his cheeks turned red.
"Am sorry, I hope I didn't scare you"
"You did" Cindy said eyeing him "Can you just stop looking at me"
"Hmnn...ok" Jake said and looked at the floor "So I'm guessing your name is Cindy"
Cindy chuckled " No dummy, look at me"
"Sure" Jake would love too. He could even look into her eyes all day. He smiled " I'm Jake"
"Nice to meet you"
Jake hesitated "You're pretty"
"You think so?" she asked already blushing
"And smart" he grinned
Then there was an awkward silence and everything started to get really awkward.
"Can I get your number"
"Hmn, I don't even know you" she said moving backwards
"You don't know me yet, and yeah we should probably meet somewhere else"
"Sure I need to go right now" Cindy said and left
Classes where already over so Jake went to meet his friends. He had three bosom friends; Jimmy, Nick and Dan. Jimmy was short and fat with choppy cheeks and he had freckles all over his small nose. He had blue Chinese looking eyes and his blond hair in a low cut. Nick was tall, lean and brown skinned.
