KINGDOM MONERA
*Unicellular prokaryotes do not have well defined nucleus. They do not have any membrane bound organelles. Cell wall + Cell membranes + Glycocalyx = Cell envelope. If glycocalyx is tough then it is called capsule. If glycocalyx is loose then it is called slime layer.
Mesosomes are the in folding of cell membrane which contain respiratory enzymes. They also help in formation of cell wall. Whenever bacterial cell has to undergo division, chromosome gets attached to mesosome. This mesosome replicate along with chromosomal replication.
Pilli is for bacterial conjugation and for holding.
Chromatophore is for imagination of cell membrane filled with photosynthetic pigment in certain photosynthetic bacteria
Inclusion body are meant for storage of phosphate granules and cynophycean. the region where circular chromosome stays is called as nucleoid/ genophore.
One ribosome present in unicellular is of 70s type. s in 70s stands for swedberg's coefficient. A typical ribosome is divided into two unequal parts. Smaller part is of 30s and larger is of 50s. surely, the total is 80s but the division in ribosome is kind off different.
Plasmid is a piece of double stranded circular DNA which is outside chromosome. It has all non-essential gene
Polysome ----> when many ribosome is attached to single mRNA it is called as Polysome.
