"norah im seriously freaking out here i don't know where we are.." she trails off when the boy comes flying down the stairs again and out into the garage. now, knowing that we weren't being seen we followed without precautions and jumped into the back of the minivan with Kelci who had apparently gone out right before the boy did. the mother of the 2 kids was also already in the car when we got there. "do you have everything you need adam?" the boy's mother asked. "well now we know his name is adam" I said to nell as the minivan pulled out of the driveway and headed to charlotte catholic. I didn't listen to his response.

adam mumbled under his breath and took off running into the school. of course, we followed. his first class was creative writing, just like mine and the teacher resembled the old hag that taught at my high school. is it? adam ran into the classroom and slid into a seat while nell and I stood against the wall, observing. "adam Joshua Christensen" the teacher called and the boy we met this morning answered with a bored-sounding "here." Christensen. that was my last name. Christensen. the old hag literature teacher. the charlotte catholic shirt. the book. it all made sense. we are watching the love story of my parents.
