Alone

Chapter 1

Amelia When I have always been close but just as friends,nothing more.But this isn't what I want, I like her a lot, as more than friends. But I could never tell her. It would ruin our friendship. Our friendship is the most thing in the world to me. So I keep it in even though it hurts.

Amelia and I were walking to the mall, I lived like right next to it so we go there all the time and just play around. Sometimes we actually buy stuff for each other and take it to my house and surprise each other.

"Come on Lily!"
Amelia shouted to me as a lagged behind on the sidewalk. Her long dirty blond hair tied up in a low ponytail that rested on her shoulder. I didn't even realize I was lagging behind. "Coming!" I yelled as I ran up to her. We both laughed and ran into the mall parking lot. It was a big building but it didn't have a very big parking lot. There were only a few cars here and there. It wasn't very busy. Good, I don't really like new people.

I ran up to door and held it open for amelia. She smiled and said "Thank you my lady" in an exaggerated accent and bowed. She giggled and walked into the store. I walked with her and kept thinking about what it would be like if we were together. No. That could never happen. We're just friends. I looked at her for a second then turned away and sighed. "What's wrong?" She asked as she gently grabbed my arm and I stared at her. "Nothing I'm fine" that was such a lie. "Now come on!" I laughed as I ran down an aisle. She followed me and we looked at stuff while we joked around.

"I'm gonna go look at something, I'll be right back" I said " Ok I'll be right here" Amelia said as she looked through a rack of shirts.
I walked off and and wandered around for a minute until I ended up in the men's section. Why did I come over here? I shook it off and started looking at some hoodies that were on sale.

I found a blue one and I was on my way back to where Amelia was and I saw her talking to some guy and giggling. I got so angry. I quickly walked up to them. "Hey, who is this?" I said as I glared at the boy. He was tall and had messy brown hair and blue eyes. You could say he was cute, but not to me. "Oh this is nate, he's in my science class" am told me. "Hey" he waved to me and smiled. I rolled my eyes, and he frowned. Good. "Hey we better get back, my mom said we had to be back soon." I said trying to get am away from nate. "Oh yeah" she said as she realized how long we had been here. I grabbed her hand and we walked off. She turned around for a second and waved to nate and he waved back and I silently huffed. "So did you find anything?" I asked her as i smiled. " No they didn't have any cute stuff" she said but she didn't seem bothered at all. "Oh well maybe next time" I said. "What's that?" she pointed to the hoodie I had in my hand. I forgot I had it, I was so angry about nate I didn't even show her what I got. "Oh yeah" I said as I stopped walking and held it up so she could see it. It was just a simple dark blue hoodie. "Ooo, I like it, I might steal it from you" she smiled. I loved her so much. She was so pretty and she was funny and smart and she was so sweet to everyone. "Yeah, come on I gotta pay for it" I said as I smiled and kept walking toward the check out.

We walked up to the register, but there was nobody there. I put the hoodie up there and we waited for a few seconds before a girl came from one of the aisles by the register.

She had a short blond pixie cut and blue eyes, she was wearing a navy blue top and a pair of white shorts with a brown belt. She was cute.
"Hey there sorry about the wait" she said as she rung up the hoodie.
"Its fine" I said as I smiled at her and she did the same back and I think I felt myself blush. Why do I feel like this? I like Amelia. "That'll be $3.99" her voice pulled me out of my thoughts and I grabbed my wallet out of my pocket and have her the money. She put the hoodie in a bag and said "Here you go, have a nice day" I grabbed the bag and the receipt "thanks". Amelia and I were walking to the door when I glanced back and saw the girl looking at me and smiling. I turned away we walked out into the parking lot.

Amelia and I were sitting in my room going through my closet. "Does this fit you?" She asked me as she held up a purple t-shirt with flowers on it. " No, it's to small, you can have it if you want " she smiled and threw it on my bed from were we sat in the floor.
"You can have this too" I said as I grabbed a yellow dress. I've never liked dresses, they make me feel so out of place. I only wear then when my mom makes me. I prefer ripped jeans, graphic tees, and combat boots. I handed am the dress and she threw it on the bed.
"I'm gonna go get some water" I said as I stood up. "Ok" I left the room and went downstairs to the kitchen where my mom was sitting at the table in her laptop. "Hey sweetie,how are things?" She asked as she looked up. " Oh, fine, me and am are just going through my closet"

My closet. Oh no. I had written a note about how much I liked Amelia and hid it in my closet under my clothes.The clothes that Amelia was going through. I ran upstairs as fast as I could and rushed into my room.

Only to see her with the note.
