!!!TW: SELF-HARM + MENTIONS OF TRAUMA, ANXIETY, AND SUICIDE!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------

Kenma's POV:

I stood, frozen, watching the new wounds drip blood down my thin arms and ankles. I didn't want to move, afraid that I might fall apart. The nail I had found on the floor half an hour ago was now in my hand, covered in red.

I knew I needed to clean my cuts so that they wouldn't get infected, but I was stuck. My feet were weights attached to my limbs, and I wanted to scream; to cry. 'It's not like anyone would hear you anyway. And even if they did, they wouldn't care.'  The sudden voice in my head frightened me but the words were a stab to the heart. They weren't wrong; I'm nothing to anyone.

I felt the warmth of tears down my cheeks and I couldn't stand anymore. There was too much nothing inside of me. I fell onto the cold bathroom tiles that had been surfaced with thin puddles of blood. Letting the tears fall, my sobs began to echo throughout the room.

Kuroo's POV:

The sun was reaching the horizon and the sky was painted with oranges and purples as evening began to roll around. I exited my house and started the 10 foot walk to my boyfriend's place. I had bought him a plush from his favourite game store because I knew that he had been wanting it for a while now.

I reached his door and got my keys out (Kenma had gotten tired of having to get up to open they door every time I came over) to unlock the home. As I entered, I saw that he still had his game open on the TV, but he wasn't on the couch or in the kitchen.

I walked up the stairs, towards his bedroom, and opened the door quietly, just in case he fell asleep. I entered to see an dark room with an empty bed. I was confused but thought that he might just be in the bathroom or something so began the short journey. As I got closer, I heard sobs.

I hesitantly walked closer and open the door softly. My eyes lay on what was before me.

Kenma was laying, limp, on the floor. The blood around the room and the highly visible cuts up his arms made it obvious that he had been purposely hurting himself. I rushed to his side and bent to see his eyes. They were filled with salty ears and the sight killed me. I took a breath to calm myself down before speaking.

"Kitten, can you sit up for me? I need to clean you up, otherwise the pain will get worse."

"It doesn't hurt..."

I was shocked to hear him say that, but stayed silent as I looked into his golden eyes. 'God I love those eyes' I thought.

"I'm gonna sit you up, okay?"

Not waiting for a reply, I put my arms under him and positioned him so that he was sitting with his back against the bland cabinets. I looked down to see similar cuts on his ankles and felt the urge to cry. I ignored the feeling and looked away. Opening one of the cupboards to get the first aid kit, I slowly spoke to the frail boy.

"How are you feeling, Baby?"

He kept his eyes on his stained hands.

"I don't know."

I took a quick glance at him and placed the first aid kit onto the cool surface of the floor.

"Do you know why you did this?"
