It’s been three days since our infiltration to Apostles and Besodiah began, and every now and then, I am secretly going to Mr. Samuel without their knowledge. It feels like he is my key to communicate with my father, especially that he was getting direct orders from him.

“I heard that two came back earlier,” I mumbled.

Mr. Samuel nodded and looked at me, “The ex-politician and his wife.” After being with him for days, I’ve learned that most people going to Alpheus City had high ranks before the apocalypse started. They are well respected during their days. “Do you want to know what their sins are?”

“Senator Revileza is a corrupt man. He’s using his position to bring fear to the people who accidentally learned his wickedness.

I pulled out my cellphone under the pillow and slammed my body to the bed. I quizzically looked at the messages when I received a message from Alex’s number. He told me that he left his phone in our house because of the sudden apocalypse, which he actually cause.

ALEX:
Runaway from Alpheus City, Amira. Please.

I tried sending a message to his number, but I didn’t know that I still needed load to send a fucking message even though we are in the middle of a fucking apocalypse.

Pero… Saan kaya may pa-loadan na malapit?

And even though I was really eager to know who has my brother’s phone, two people came to my mind who’s actually behind it. It can be my mother or father if Alex’s really left his phone in our house, and that’s only the fact.

This message is either a trap or a warning. In a sense that this person might be luring me out of Alpheus because I might hinder his plan, or maybe a sign because that person is already awakened.

Damn… Ang sakit sa utak.

“Mommy—” I swiftly deleted the message when Spencer suddenly spoke.
