Alex’s shout echoed in the hideout, as Peter and the others immediately covered his mouth. He was leering at me while I was just eyeing him innocently.
“Dude, may bobo akong kapatid!”
I squinted my eyes at him and said, “Are you concerned because of my idea or you’re just spouting that I am stupid?”
“The first— Nope, nope. Definitely the second.” He even acted like he was actually thinking even though he’s way stupider than me.
I rolled my eyes and sassily crossed my arms, “I told Tito Tristan—”
“Call me daddy, Amira.” Tito Tristan interrupted. Tyler immediately slapped the back of his father’s head and pulled him away from the crowd.
I cleared my throat and acted as if I didn’t hear a thing, “So, I told him that I will give him a bunch of Lycoris Albiflora in exchange for letting me use the laboratory and the two flowers left.”
“At saan ka naman kukuha no’n?” Takhang tanong ni Alex dahilan upang ngisian ko lamang siya.
“It was a familiar smell… At alam kong may ideya ka kung saan maaari ‘yong makuha. Lalo na’t nakapunta ka na rin sa lugar na iyon.”
“Pinagsasabi mong tanga ka?”
Pinalisikan ko s’ya ng mga mata. Tangina. Bakit ba nakita pa namin ang siraulong kapatid ko na maya’t maya na lamang akong sinabihan ng tanga, bobo kahit siya naman talaga ‘yon?
“Sa basement ng bahay.” Pinagtaasan n’ya ako ng kilay at tinuro n’ya pa ako. Bumulong pa s’ya kayna Cara ng ‘Anong sinasabi ng tangang ‘yon?’
“Amira… Walang Lycoris Albiflora sa basement niyo,” sambit ni Cara. Hindi naman ako puwedeng magkamali sa naamoy ko. Siguro’y iba lamang ang natuklasan ni Alex sa basement, hindi n’ya rin naman alam na may sikreto ang lugar na iyon, “What Alex saw that time was a human being eaten by another human…”
“But… Amira’s idea is not that bad. If we wanted to bring down your father, we must invade his empire,” Kelly uttered. I told them earlier my idea of blending in with the Apostles. And with Kelly’s expertise with cosmetics, we can disguise ourselves just like what she did to my brother.
“Capsule… May gano’n sila sa loob ng katawan nila ‘di ba?” Tanong ni Spencer. Mabuti na lamang at gustong-gusto n’yang sumali sa usapan na ito kaya’t hindi siya nang gugulo, “As far as I remembered… Those Apostles we fought have bumps on their arm along with a barcode on the top of their skin.”
Well, I don’t have any idea about that. Especially that Peter and I hid from them when we are in the sewage.
“You have Cara. You can let her hack in their system and we knew how to access it,” Tito Cris stated.
“And I’ll just use prosthetics for the bumps.” Kelly winked.
Nang matapos sa unang parte ng plano ay napagusapan din kung sino-sino ang mga magpapanggap na Apostles. At dahil ang mga magulang nina Parker ay maraming ginagawa rito sa underground, nakasalalay na sa grupo namin kung sino ang nga pupunta.
At syempre, hindi ako maaaring mawala ro’n. Samantalang pinagiisipan pa namin kung maisasama namin si Spencer na kanina pang nag-tatantrums dahil mahuhuli na naman daw diya sa thrill.
“Iinom lang akong tubig,” bulong ko kay Parker. Iniwan ko sila ro’n habang pinagsasabihan at pinipigilan ni Alex si Spencer sa pagwawala sa salas.
Nang makarating ako sa kusina ay awtomatiko akong napangiwi nang makita ko ang si Tito Tristan na nakangiti sa ‘kin.
“Kumusta ka, ija?” Bungad n’yang tanong. Dumiretso naman ako sa refrigerator habang may hawak na baso at nakatalikod sa kanya, “Are you taking all those pieces of information finely or—”
