Ash, Lillie, Misty, and Brock were in Fushia City, when Ash's HOME Dex got a call from a friend.
"Huh?" Ash questioned, "Oh, Lillie, Acerola's calling!" He picked it up, and saw Acerola worried sick.
"Ash, Lillie!" Acerola shouted, "Thank gosh, I got a hold of you! It's an emergency!"
"What?!" Ash shouted, "What happened?!"
"These people called Team Rocket attacked the Aether Foundation!" Acerola shouted, and Lillie and Ash were shocked, "Th-they kidnapped the rest of the gang and your families!"
"Oh no!" Lillie gasped, "Do you know if they're still there!?"
"They're still here!" Acerola exclaimed, "They said they're taking over, and I'm on a boat heading to Kanto, I should be there soon!"
"Okay, we'll see you soon Acy!" Lillie sighed, then the two hung up the call and cried.
"Mom....please be okay..." Ash cried, and Pika was worried about what would happen.
"Mother, brother..." Lillie sniffled, "Please take care..."
"Guys..." Misty and Brock gasped, and they hugged the two tight.
"Ash, Lillie, it's gonna be okay, you're safe right now..." Brock stated, "We're here with you!"
"Thanks..." Ash sniffled, "You guys want to head to Koga's Gym now?"
"Sure!" Misty exclaimed, "Maybe the Gym Leader can help you calm down..."
"I hope so..." Lillie sighed, "Let's get going then..."
Back in Alola, Acerola was with Kiawe, Mallow, Lana, and Sophocles.
"He sounded depressed..." Kiawe sighed, "We better see him soon..."
"Yeah..." Mallow sighed, "Ash, Lillie, stay safe..."
