(Kokichi's POV)
I walked over to kaedes piano room once again, setting the music sheet in front of me, sitting at the stool and practicing 'Clair de lune'... yikes... I didn't realise how bad I was at piano until I tried.. yet I had to.. make sure I at least tried.
After a couple minutes I felt as if I was getting the hang of it which was lucky..
Hearing the music being played almost properly.. I felt- calm and.. free of almost any worry.. heh.. no wonder she liked playing piano- it.. isn't as boring as I thought it would've been.. which is surprising for me since I used to bug her about it all the time and ask what was so interesting about an instrument... I guess the saying's true.. 'never judge a book by its cover'
(Shuichi's POV)
I was on my way to the dining hall before hearing a piano melody?.. It sounded- peaceful.. I couldn't help but- follow the sound as it got closer and closer...
Once I found myself outside of kaede's piano room.. I paused before opening the door and seeing.... kokichi..? What was... he doing here- why was he... playing it?..
Soon, the other looked up at me in a bit of surprise, given I walked in at what seemed to be an awkward moment for him.. "I.. didn't know you could play" I said as I grabbed a chair and sitting down.
"Heh- uh.. yeah.. I'm- still learning- I guess-" he replied in an awkward tone "oh-! .. right- I.. uhh, thought you might want these since- you.. cared about her and all-" he said as he pulled one of kaedes hair clips out of his pocket, offering it to me.
I hesitated before walking over, taking the hair clip and putting it into my pocket "thank you-.. I-.. didn't really think you cared all that much- and- isn't that.. the song kaede was telling me about-?" I said after seeing the music sheet the other had.
"Oh- yeh it is-.. I-.." he laughed a bit awkwardly "I was-.. planning on-.. y'know... trying to... make you-.. feel better-?.. since- I couldn't think of- anything else-"
I stood feeling both confused and somewhat comforted "you're-... even more thoughtful than I imagined-.." of course I knew that everyone had a soft side to them but.... kokichi..? The- one who says he loves the killing game and- didn't even care when-.. "oh hush, I couldn't deal with how depressed you already are" he huffed out.
(Kokichi's POV)
Shitshitshitshhit- what am I doing- he's gonna know this is all an act- I can't let him know- I can't let anyone know, it would ruin my plan to get them out of this stupid game...
I stood up off of the stool, placing by hands behind my head "well! That's my cue to leave" I said as I walked to the door "oh, by the way, before I leave, you should probably watch your back, not from me obviously buuut~ since you're the detective, not everyone would like that, especially if they're planning to kill" I hummed, stepping out of the room.. I may have made his mood a mix of fear and happiness but it's true, who knows, maybe he'll be next.
