A long time ago:
"You all are very lucky." the awful voice said.
"You get to stay here with me. That really is an honor. I will take care of you all. But disobey me, and you will suffer." she said.

"So, we all really are stuck like this?" Max asked in the empty hallway. Next to him, he could hear the rattling of the chains in the cell.
"Who's doing that? It's annoying," Izumi said.
"I-I think it's Jaxon." Mia said. The rattling continued.
"Must. Get. Out. Of. Here." Jaxon said.
"There's no use." Rina said.
"Hey, wait. You're the oldest, right?" Max said.
"I'm the oldest here, that's right. Trust me when I say, we can't get out of here." she said.
"Hey, but wait. You're not usually here right? You are barely here in fact." Max said.
"That is right. Alice gives you a little more freedom when you turn ten." Rina said.
"Stop that Jaxon! I'm trying to listen to the guards." Rei said.
"No. I'm trying to get out of these. I can't move." Jaxon said.
"That's the point idiot. We're prisoners." Izumi said. The door opened and there the terrifying girl stood. She is only 15, but so brutal.
"Good morning. I heard that someone is trying to disobey my ways." she said. They all went quiet.
"So what if I am?" Jaxon asked. She held the stick in her hand and he looked her right in the eyes.

"Alice? Why are we like this?" Rei asked. She sighed.
"You all just won't leave it no matter what I do huh? Well then, let me tell you the truth. You all are cursed. Cursed because of who you are. Everyone hates you all. You all are beasts. I am the only one who will ever accept you." she said

After a long time, they lost their spirit and the place went quiet. All they did was sit and stare at the walls. The door opened and they entered.
"Because I like you so much, I will let you off with only staying here for two weeks instead of a beating." Alice said. She locked Rei up. He was much older. He was twelve years old and had a little more freedom.
"How have you all been holding up?" Rei asked.
"It's not fair. Why do you get to be the favorite?! She always goes soft on you!" Izumi shouted at Rei.
"Like I know." Rei said shrugging.
"I... Just want to die." Mia cried.
"Don't say that. What about you Max?" Rei asked.
"It hurts." he cried.
"Got a beating, huh?" Rei sighed.
"Well, since I'm here. I wanna tell you all something." Rei said.
"Rina? Jaxon? Are you two here?" he asked.
"Yeah," Rina said.
"Mhm," Jaxon said.
"Outside, I go to school and I stay in a room and you all wouldn't believe what others get to do. They can go wherever they want to without needing permission and it just sounds so amazing." Rei said.
"Why are you telling us this? You want to brag?" Izumi asked.
"No, I want to share it with you all." Rei said. He knew he was weak and knew nothing. He wanted to give them all hope because when he walked out in the open of the estate, people called him a beast. They hated him and kicked him and threw him with rocks. He didn't want them to hear that. Alice already told them that. She told them every day how precious they are to her and therefore she wanted to keep them all to herself, but now Rei knew it was a lie. She was ashamed of them. She wanted to hide them away. She liked him the most. He got "special treatment" and he knew it was unfair to the others.
"I want to escape so badly. I want to leave this place and never return. I want to break free." Max said.
"You know what will happen." Jaxon said.
"Then let's just make sure she can never make us return." Rei said.
"Is that even possible?" Mia asked.
"Rina, you're the oldest here. If me and you work together, then we can make a plan to escape." Rei said.
"There's no way we all can escape." Rina said.
"Are you in or not? I will make it possible no matter what. I am top in my class in academics and I will manipulate anyone if I must." Rei said.
"I do not doubt that you can do it Rei, but are you willing to get all of us out?" Rina asked.
"Then let's escape!!" Max said.
"Alright, this is the plan. When Alice falls asleep at 8 pm, we escape. Rina will take care of the guards, seeing that she is the biggest animal of us all. I will lead you all out and to a safe distance. I have someone on the outside that will help you all settle in." Rei said.

It struck 8 pm and they all turned into animals to escape the chains that were holding them inside. They all started running, but Max stopped when he saw that Jaxon was not out of his cell.
"Jaxon?"
"Go on. Zoë is still too young. I need to make sure she is safe and you all need someone who can warn you from the inside." he said.
"But Jaxon-"
"It's fine. Just go already." Jaxon said. Letting a small child like Zoë go through everything they did alone would make him feel guilty. He couldn't just leave her behind and taking her with them wasn't an option. They all ran out and the plan went just like they thought. They hid away in the forest as the guards searched for them. They refused to go back and chased the guards off.
They lived in the estate in secret for a while before leaving the estate and making a life of their own outside.
There was nothing Alice could do about it. She was furious and had so much power, but they simply ran away from the people she sent after them.
They were free
But were they really?
Is running away forever, freedom?
