Andy~

As he stepped off the train, he felt a fresh surge of nervousness. Looking around for his suitcase, he tried to remember where he'd been told to go. Grantham House, near St James Square. Picking up his suitcase, he walked out of the station. It was early so there were few people about, only the odd one rushing off to work, but he assumed that the servants would already be awake and preparing for the day ahead. He finally arrived and knocked on the back door. No one answered. He knocked again. Still no answer. Arming himself with courage, he pushed the door open and walked into a long corridor. This was familiar. The servants quarters always looked the same, no matter where you were. He could here someone talking and the sound of pots and pans. Following the noise, he found himself standing in the doorway to a kitchen. There was an older woman, who he presumed was the cook, and a girl about his own age, humming as she scrubbed some pots which she promptly dropped in surprise when she saw him there. "Hello. I'm Andy, the new footman," he said. He smiled nervously, he saw how pretty she was. He wanted to impress this girl, even though she was probably courting. A pretty girl like her was bound to be. The cook nudged her and she introduced herself "I'm Daisy. I expect you'll be looking for Mr Carson," she said. "That's right. Mr Carson," he replied, trying not to blush. "He'll be in his office," said Daisy. Andy nodded and walked off, pleased to have an excuse to leave.
