She looked excited as they walked into the lobby. Andy noticed this, he noticed everything about her, he couldn't keep his eyes off her. "Have you never been to the pictures before?" he asked jokingly. "Once," she replied, "with William." "Steady on now! I thought you said you weren't courting," he said. "I'm not, he was... he was me husband," she muttered sadly. His expression softened. "I'm sorry. I expect the war left a lot of young widows." She nodded silently; the subject was closed. They bought their tickets and walked to the hall where the film was showing. "Let's go on the back row," he whispered, knowing he was pushing his luck. He was surprised when she did so. She suddenly tripped over a step and landed on her knees. "Daisy? Are you alright?" She stood up, "I think I twisted me ankle." He guided her gently to their seats and sat her down, fussing over her. She laughed and chatted with him, maybe not like she did before, William was probably on her mind. They were interrupted by someone in front "Shh, the film's about to start."
