Missy stormed out of the library once Tom exited her mind. She liked her privacy, and Tom over stepped a boundary. But that's exactly what she did to him yesterday.

She started it, and so Tom had to return the favor. He didn't see much of Missy until potions, but even then she would avoid all contact with him. Good- she's annoying. And she knows too much. She knows about my past and who Tom really am.

Tom didn't spend years developing a reputation for himself just for Missy too knock it down. She could tell everyone his secrets, if she wanted to. He knew what kind of girl Missy is. But then again, she would be dead before she could get another sentence out.

Tom had to find a way to get rid of her.

When Tom first met Missy, she had a single white strand of hair amongst her dirty blonde hair. As she got older, those strands multiplied. Making her look like her head was dipped with vanilla frosting and the rest of her hair was a salted caramel.

Salted caramel. That's what reminded him of Missy. She was salty, and like salt- a bit bitter. But caramel was sweet. Sometimes so sweet, that Tom had to pucker up his lips or drink lots of water. Missy was like that.

The kids adored her. All the filthy orphans. All the boys and all the girls, exept Tom. Tom was too busy planning, he had no time to follow everyone else and become Missy's minions. Tom was too busy being locked in his room, a punishment for his violent behavior.

But all the boys and all the girls were fake. When Missy left the room, they envied her. They were driven by jealousy to say awful things about her. They wanted to be her so badly, they loved her so much that they hated her.

They called her a skunk. A whore. A witch. Of course, whoever said these things would get a beating from Tom, even if Tom himself thought these words were true. He didn't like her, he didn't want to protect her, but something made him so mad to see how easily these filthy orphans could turn on eachoter.

That's why Tom would always be alone in his room, because he was protecting Missy.
