"It's not such a big deal, you can do it, just breathe" Said Annabelle my best friend "if not, I'm gonna have to drag you out there and believe me, that will be MUCH worse." she said trying to sound threatening. Which didn't work since she is the nicest person in the world. She couldn't even kill a mosquito...no, scratch that she's killed tons of mosquitoes...she wouldn't kill a fly...probably 'cause it would gross her out...but still, you know what I mean.
"Yeah, sure. I wanna see you try" I said smiling at her. She just bit her lip and shook her head.
"______(y/n), if you don't do it today, you won't do it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow"
I sighed, Annabelle was right, I was never going to face him this way. I looked at her and she was grinning for no apparent reason. I opened my mouth to say something about her reason less smile but, I froze when I heard a voice, the voice of the exact person that I was trying to avoid.
"Hey, did any of you see Aaron around here?" I turned around and smiled motionless. Not one word came out of my mouth. This only happened with Matt. Damn that perfect boy!
Annabelle, rescuing me from inevitable humiliation, answered him. He looked at me for one last time and went to look for his friend.
"He's gone now, so for God's sake please, breathe before you pass out" She said a bit frustrated. This happened to me all the time. Specially if he smiled....with that flawless smile....Gosh! Doesn't he know that if he keeps smiling like that one day I'm gonna pass out right in front of him?!
"I looked like a complete idiot, didn't I?" I asked not wanting to know the answer.
"Just a little but, I think he likes you." She said elbowing me.
I looked at her worriedly. "What if instead of liking me he just makes fun of me because he knows that I have a huge crush on him?!" I said talking so fast that my words were barely understandable. She just laughed and we went with the rest of the girls.
By "the girls" I mean my best friends. They're the only people I can really be myself with. We all care about eachother and if anybody has a problem with us we just ignore them because it's just not worth worrying about.
Annabelle is new in school this year but I feel like I've known her for years. She's blonde with green eyes.
And then there's Judie which is my second-cousin and a very good friend of mine. She has brown hair and green eyes.
Then there's Tess which is SO much fun to be around, she's just one of those people you like spending spending time with. She has brown hair and hazel eyes.
Also, there's Melody, the one that always organizes the best outings which is dark blonde with kind of greyish-blue eyes.
In a group of friends there's always that one friend with a bad attitude and good fashion sense. That's Diane. She's dirty blonde with dark green eyes.
Finally, the brainiac of the group is Mae. She has brown hair and yellowish brown eyes.
They're all very pretty but since they're the "nobodys" of the school, they don't get much attention from the guys at school. But when we go to partys or clubs in which the people there aren't from school the guys are all over them. Although it's pretty wierd for us to go to parties since we mostly go to Starbucks or McDonalds or to the movie theatre.
They're kind of the opposite of me, they're like angels, always super fun and social. Instead, I, ______(y/n) __________(y/ln) , am not very "special" per say. I'm brown haired and brown eyed, real original right? I admit that I'm almost always the life of the party but I never want to impress anyone, it's just to have a good time with my friends.
My friends and some other people keep telling me how "beautiful" I am but, love is blind right? Besides, the "other" people...are my family. Ha ha I know epic fail right? But they still count...I hope.
"Hey!! There you are! What were you guys doing?" asked melody with her usual smile
"Nothing, just trying to make ______ breathe after Paty talked to us" Paty is the nickname we gave Matt so that if any friend of his passed by and heard us talking about him they wouldn't know who we were talking about.
They all stared at me and started laughing extremely loud. The truth is I didin't find it very funny but, their laughs are SO contagious so, I joined them and laughed at myself. That's what I love about them, they can always make you smile no matter what.
We're sophomores at school.
Only 2 more years in school.
Only 2 more years in this prison.
Only 2 more years together, since we'd all basically will be going in different directions with our lives.
I want to be a professional singer...but I'm kind of shy. So my backup plan is to study psychology. Judie also wants to be a psychologist. Annabelle wants to be an actress, Mae wants to be a lawyer, Melody wants to be a fashion designer and Diane wants to work with Melody.
So, we try to spend time together as much as possible.
When I finish high school I really want to leave home and be more independant. So, with Judie, when summer vacation starts we're gonna work in a bar. We're waitresses and on weekends we put on a show and sing and play piano in the same bar.
There's only 1 week left of school so me and Judie are really excited.
"_______ are you coming to Starbucks today or do you have something better to do?" asked Tess with a smile on her face.
"Actually, I do, sorry I have to feed the neighbor's unicorn so, I can't make it today." I said trying to hold in the laughter.
Diane looked at me blankly, "Don't worry about that unicorn....I killed it yesterday"
I couldn't hold it in any longer, I burst out laughing.
I really don't know what I'd do without them.
