My Turn To Go Further

Chapter 2: Someone New

After having a good time with my friends at Starbucks I went back home exhausted, I took a bath and went straight to bed.

The next morning when I woke up, my house was completely quiet. I grabbed my phone to check what time it was, 9 am, and already 64 texts from me and my friends' group called "OurThang" , 8 texts from my mom and 2 from my brother Ashton.

My friends were asking if I was going to school or not, my mom said that she had to get to work early so she couldn't take me to school and that she let me sleep in...well kind of....it's only 9....but 2 hours is something at least. Lastly, my brother was begging me to come up with an excuse as to why he didn't come home last night.

I got out of bed and went downstairs to get some breakfast, I wasn't gonna rush since school had already started so I'd go after lunch.

I made myself some toasts and watched tv.

When I was arriving at school I sent a text to "OurThang" to know where the girls were. When I finally found them, they were staring with disgusted faces at some guy sucking Nancy, the school whore's, face.

"Hi guys!" I said but, as soon as I opened my mouth they all grabbed my arms and pulled me out of there and took me to the girl's bathroom. I waited until they let me go and blurted out "What the hell?!"

"I'm not telling her!" said Annabelle followed by Tess, Diane, Melody and Mae.

"Okay, fine, I'll tell her!" said Judie kind of annoyed."Nancy and Matt.....are...kind of....I mean...we're not 100% sure....but...umm"

"Just say it, I can't stand the smell in here much longer" I said trying to break the tension but it didn't seem to work, they were all dead serious.

"Fine! They're dating... Sorry, we didn't want you to see them sucking face back there" she said

"Wow...wait, what?....how?...when?....where?..." I said confused, a million questions running through my mind " Why?" I whispered feeling my heart break inside of me.

"They're like girlfriend and boyfriend...he asked her...they started dating yesterday. In some party.....'cause they're both 'popular' and completely brainless and everything they do, they do it without even thinking. All they think about is becoming even MORE popular. Meanwhile, all they actually look like is some fucking idiots that all their brains let them do is suck face and...." started to rant Diane when I interrupted her, "It's fine...I'm over him....really it's fine" I said with a blank face. I really wanted to believe my own lie. They looked at me surprised but they understood what I was trying to do.

The rest of the day just went on normally.

There weren't many surprises. There weren't many annoyances. There was just me and my girls.

At the end of the day, since it was Friday, we all went to the mall and did some shopping and later, we went to the movies and saw "How To Train Your Dragon".

Then we all went to Claire's and started to check some stuff out and play with everything and pretend we were going to buy it. The sale's people at Claire's seriously hated us. And suddenly, I saw some stickers with the initials "O.T" ,like our group "OurThang". So each of us bought one sticker and stuck them on our car.

When we got bored, we all went to Mae's house to get ready for a party that was near her house. Which we were excited about since there was nobody there from school.
