Chapter 13

The morning went by as it usually did as Kiyata had progressed rather far in his studies. Currently, he was doing more of the difficult math problems and other various subjects. After doing his morning studies, he continued his training with Sakaki and the others. Right now he was training with Apachai, as he was learning the reverse elbow technique. The two of them were sparring with Sakaki and the others watching.

Sakaki: Seems like our wolf boy enjoys training with Apachai seeing how those two are going at it.

Kensei: Feeling jealous are we Sakaki?

Sakaki: Oh shut it Kensei!!

Akisame: No need to be jealous. He enjoys all of our teachings. It's just that, Mui Tai seems to go easier with him.

Kensei: That is true. He was able to learn things rather quickly and master them in a short time. Though he does seem to get easily distracted by the slightest sound.

Kiyata blocked Apachai's attacks while trying to land a few hits in but wasn't able to. Apachai landed a powerful punch on his sending him flying into the wall headfirst.  Before they could do anything, Kiyata pulled his head out of the wall, shaking his head, getting the dust off as he dashed towards Apachai.

Kensei: Not to mention, he quickly recovers even getting after hit.

Sakaki sighs as he rubs the back of his head.

Sakaki: I swear, sometimes I think that head of his is a rock or something.

Akisame: Well, he recovers rather quickly each time. I figure it has something to do with what happened to him when he was experimented on.

Sakaki: Still pisses me off just thinking about it. Just what in their right mind had the idea to this?

Kensei: Who knows. With all that is happening right now, it could've been any Villain.

As they watched Apachai and Kiyata spar, his ears twitched causing him to turn his head in the direction where it came from. Right before Apachai's kick could hit him, he leaped into the air as he landed on the roof of the building. Apachai stopped as he looked up at him rather confused.

Apachai: What's wrong Kiyata? Why you stop sparring with Apachai?

They walked out next to Apachai looking up at Kiyata as he was starring off in the distance very intensely.

Kensei: Seems like he heard something again.

Sakaki: I didn't hear anything.

Akisame: Whatever it was, he heard something from a good distance away.

Kiyata stayed quietly as he focused on where the noise came from. His scleras slowly changed to a light blue color as he growled quietly. As Akisame and the others were curious about what he was doing, Hayato walked out of the house.

Hayato: What's all the commotion?

Akisame: Oh Elder.

Kensei: It seems like Kiyata is bothered by something. Which is why he's sitting up there.

Hayato looked up seeing Kiyata string very intensely off in the distance with his spikes and fur standing up.

Apachai: Kiyata stopped sparring with Apachai just out of nowhere. Did Apachai do something wrong?

Hayato: Not at all. It seems like his ears have picked up something far off. Probably an odd sound that we can't hear from here.

Sakaki: Super hearing huh. Guess that was a given with how he's able to hear everything that goes on around here.
