Krist clenched his fist. His heart was restless all along their journey back from Beijing. Wave stood beside him looking at him cautiously. "Kit."
"I want to go back and rest first. I need a clear mind before I go to P'Sing." Wave nodded understandingly. They went through the immigration checking effortlessly.
Wave had been briefed by Krist himself about the situation he discovered. It was very mythical for him to believe but he had seen the glow of Chenqing and Wuji, he had witness how Krist's soul swapped into another body. Everything Krist told him about who he was in the past and what relation Singto had, Wave believed in it. He somehow thought maybe there's a reason why the two were so close and cared for each other too much. Perhaps, the heart knew its other half without the knowledge of the past. He felt amazed with that thought. A feeling that went through centuries, and it was waiting for a closure.
Wave drove Krist to his apartment, reminding the younger to give him a call if he needed anything. Krist thanked him greatly and walked up to his apartment. Once he was in his place's confinement, Krist placed his travel bag at the side and slumped on the couch. He held his head and closed his eyes.
"A-Yu..." Krist could see the flame belonged to him in his head.
The once reddish orange flame that turned black after Lan Yu left Cloud Recesses. Right now, it was reddish orange again. But something wasn't right. It was dull at the moment, he knew Singto is sad. Krist remembered their unfinished talk. He needed to know what happened to his P' after he's involved in the accident.
Krist slowly massaged his head. The sudden trip and restless flight started to take a toll on his body. He badly needed rest. Krist didn't have the will to go to his bedroom so he ended up lying down on the couch he was sitting and fell asleep.
In his sleep, he dreamt of Lan Yuan's past.

Past life – Cloud Recesses
"Jingyi! Don't run, it's prohibited." Lan Yuan shouted but then covered his mouth. Lan Shan was laughing as he jogged backward and watched Lan Yuan breaking a rule – no shouting in Cloud Recesses. "Jingyi."
"Nah, I'm still running because you're going to hit me." Lan Shan said.
The 10 summers old boy didn't stop his jog and eventually didn't notice he was about to hit someone. Lan Yuan was about to warn him but he was too late.
"Auch." Both Lan Shan and the boy he hit fell down to the ground. Lan Yuan went to help.
"Are you okay?"
"Hey, why you help him first?" Lan Shan said when Lan Yuan attended the boy first. Lan Yuan gave him a look.
"Lan Jingyi." Lan Shan stiffened. He looked up and winced once he saw who was with the boy. Elder Lan (Lan Qiren). "You break a rule. Go copy the rules twenty time."
