Brad rubbed his eyes, his arms reaching out across his bed, but he found it empty. He opened his eyes and looked around. He was sure that Luka was here a few hours ago. Although maybe that was a dream.

He sat up, rubbing his stinging eyes yet again, which were screaming at him that he should not be awake, and his head thumped with a small hangover. Well, if she was here last night, she wasn't now. He didn't remember doing anything weird. He remembered her in his room, talking about throwing up or something, then he thought he woke up to her in his arms.

If he did do anything funny, he was sure she would tell him. He threw off his covers, pulling on some sweatpants but not feeling like wearing a T-shirt this morning because he was overheating with hangover sweats, and headed downstairs to the kitchen. He desperately needed coffee. And some kind of greasy food. As he neared the kitchen he heard some music, getting louder as he got closer. He turned the corner and saw Luka with a bottle of surface cleaner and a cloth, walking round the island cleaning it. Or rather, dancing around it.

She looked like she was having a great time. She was still wearing his T-Shirt, some pyjama shorts that showed she had some leg tattoos, fluffy socks, her hair thrown up into a little bun on top of her head, and she was wiggling and shimmying as she wiped the top of the island. Brad didn't know the song playing, but Luka was singing along quietly to it. He licked his bottom lip before leaning on the doorframe, his arms folding over his chest as he watched her. As he watched her, he realised that she was pretty...attractive.

She got through another verse before she turned round and jumped at him standing there.

"Ohmygod! Jesus." She laughed. "How long have you been standing there?"

"Long enough to know you were having a really good time." He smiled, before stopping himself, pushing off the doorframe and walking towards her.

"I figured you guys would sleep a few more hours, so I was just cleaning up." She said as she turned the music down on her phone. "I made some fresh coffee." She brought the pot and a mug over, pouring him some before refilling her own cup.

"Thanks, that's exactly what I needed." He groaned, downing half the coffee before sitting at the island and looking round, trying to think of something to say. "The uhh... the house looks pretty clean?"

"I've been up for a few hours already." She admitted.

"We would have helped."

"It's what I'm here for." She smiled. They drank their coffee in a comfortable silence for a moment. She was glancing at him every now and then, but made no attempts to start another conversation. He thought about last night.

"So...I wanted to ask..." He started, making her look up at him. "Last night..."

"Oh you were hilarious." She snorted.

"I...was?"

"Yeah, you begged me to sleep with you so you wouldn't die."

His eyes bugged out of his head. He asked her to sleep with him?!

"I...I... !" He stammered out, but she just laughed.

"Just sleep, not have sex. You said you weren't that kind of girl." She winked at him."You said you were worried about throwing up in your sleep and choking on it and dying, saying I had to stay in your bed to keep you safe. It was rather dramatic of you." She smiled, taking a sip of her coffee. "You also made a deal that you would be nice to me so that I would smile at you more."

He groaned and rubbed his face with his hands.

"I don't really remember any of that."

"Good job I do, then I can remind you every now and then."
