Once Luka had, ahem, collected herself, she left the Green Room and headed back to where Madden would be. He profusely apologised, but she assured him she had it under control. They triple checked everything else, then she checked in with Kerrie for any updates.

By the time the boys had done their hair and make-up, the taxi was 45 minutes away.

By the time the studio hands started getting them into position for the start of the interview, it was 25 minutes away.

Luka was bouncing on her toes by the backstage door, looking both ways down the street, desperately trying to catch sight of the vehicle.

When the interview started, Kerrie said they were 15 minutes away.

Luka was itching for a cigarette, but her cigarettes were in the car. And the car was on the other side of the studio. She didn't want to miss the taxi arriving.

Someone commented in her earpiece that there was 10 minutes until the band would perform. Kerrie texted to say they were close.

When Luka got the 5 minute warning in her ear, she groaned loudly, making the security guards either side of her flinch.

Then, a car comes round the corner.

"Oh my god." Luka cried, instantly running to the road and flagging it down once she spotted the taxi sign on top of the car. It screeched to a stop, and Kerrie all but flung herself out.

"I GOT IT!" Kerrie yelled, handing over the guitar that she was gripping with both her hands. Luka kissed her cheek hurriedly and took it from her.

"You actual lifesaver!" Luka squealed, before shoving her debit card in Kerrie's hand. "Pay the man, I'll be back out in ten!"

Luka span on her heel, running towards the door the guards were holding open, yelling through the studio for everyone to get out of her way as she ran with the guitar in hand. She skidded round the corner to the stage, stumbling to a stop before Madden.

"Here." She panted, handing the precious cargo over. "Not tuned." She leant on her knees trying to get her breath back while Madden started furiously trying to tune the guitar in the last two minutes they had. Luka blinked away the spots in her vision as she watched Madden pluck each string, then turn to the stage and walked calmly onto it, placing the Fender in James' spot, as though there were never any problems.

"Fuck I think I'm gonna have a heart attack." Luka chuckled as Madden came back and put a hand on her shoulder.

"You're alright. See, no one noticed." He replied, pointing to the stage where the band were now heading over. James picked up the guitar, then looked over at her and gave her a smile. She waved back, still breathing rather heavily.

"I bloody noticed. The taxi is gonna be like £100 out of my bank account." She breathed.

"Claim it as work comp." He shrugged.

"Ohh I bloody will." She smiled, before turning her attention to the boys, who were just about to start playing.

She stayed for the whole song, wiggling a little to the music, catching Brad's eye every now and then. It was a good song. And it helped that Brad's voice was pretty good too.

When they finished, they waved their goodbyes to the audience, and the interviewer, and headed off stage, towards Luka. They all hugged her as they went past, James also muttering a 'thank you', and she followed them into the Green Room where they flopped on the sofas.

"That was awesome." Tris grinned. "I forgot how good performing is."

"Right!" James agreed. "Can't wait for the next one."
