Day 3

Another day... another kill... I'm not that hungry, I'll just stay in bed for the day... easiest way to survive... *BEEEP* "This is Black, please get up and meet up with everyone in the cafeteria." Ugh. Why does he want us out of the one room that's safe? Does he want more people to die?... Alright, better be worth my time. I step outside and see Black at the end of the hallway, watching me... kind of creepy. "Don't worry green, I'm just watching for everyone's safety, there's still one more who needs to get up, so wait in the cafeteria until then." ... That... makes sense, but not less creepy. Whatever, he's the leader, he makes the calls. In the cafeteria, the only ones I notice missing are Black and Blue. Everyone is on edge, waiting for somebody to make a move. At this point, it's a gamble if a kill is out of self-defense or just another point. Black walked into the room... without Blue...? Is something wrong? WAIT, IS HE DEAD?! DID SOMEONE KILL HIM ALREADY?!

"Good morning everyone, Blue will not be joining us today, as he wishes to be alone for a while. I brought you all out here to remind you all what I said on day one, 'we are all decent human beings.' And now you all see each other as cold-blooded killers because of an accident, I'm sure if I didn't wake everyone up, nobody would have left their room. Amazing how quickly all of you go from talkative acquaintances to scared to open your door. However I can't blame you for not living in ignorance, the odds of everyone's survival are no longer guaranteed. However, if we all work together, we can prevent the odds from going down any lower. This is why I have a proposal, from this point on, I request that everybody stick in groups of two. This will limit the list of suspects if someone acted up or will provide an alibi or witness to such an event. Though currently, we are at an odd number of people, I have already relayed this to Blue, and he prefers to be alone, so as long as he stays in his room, it all works out. Now, unless anyone is against this idea, now would be a good time to find a partner to spend the rest of the day with. I don't care who you pick, what you do, or where you go, as long as you don't do anything stupid. Dismissed."

At first, no one moves but eventually, people make their way out in groups. Grey grabs Red and heads out, followed by Purple dragging White out, leaving Me, Black, Orange, and Brown. After a couple of minutes, Black and Orange left together, so that leaves me and Brown. He tries to break the ice first. "So how are you holding up?" How am I supposed to respond to that? We are in a game of life and death. How do I feel anything other than terror? Uhhhhh... "I don't know, worried I might not see the end of the week. What about you?" "Same, but as long as we keep our cool, we should make it out of here." The hell is he talking about? Until the rest of us get a kill, there's a good chance we will die on the last day. "In case you didn't hear Black, we're not guaranteed survival anymore. From this point on, it doesn't matter what happens on the rest of the days, the only one who walks out safely is the best killer." Brown looks at me with a face of worry. "Listen, you're right, we aren't completely safe anymore, but now is not the time to give in to this sick game. Think about it, the ones controlling this game wants us to kill until one person is left standing, you may think you're gonna be the one winner, the sole survivor, but to do that, you have to be the best killer. And a person who needlessly kills is never a winner. On day one, when the doors first opened, you were too scared to fire your gun, to take another person's life, even for your own survival. I know that because I felt the same exact way, and now since your life is on the line, you're thinking about being selfish and killing someone just to live, even if it's the life of a killer. Well, let me tell you something. If you win by killing, the only ones who really won are the bastards who put us in here. By not killing, you can show those assholes that we won't play their game, we won't succumb to their sick fantasies, and we won't give them what they want. We are just as human as them, but if we can make it out of here alive, then we can prove that we are better than them in every way imaginable. But to do that we have to stick together, and trust each other, can you do that for me?"

...Wow, that was... inspiring. Has he done this before? Hype people up or just set their minds straight? I can't turn down that whole speech. "Sure, I'll trust you, if you trust me." "Gladly. Now if you don't mind me asking, when-." Black and Orange threw open the doors and said, "We have a problem." They pulled us into the hallway and-... ... WHAT THE HELL?! AGAIN?! SON OF A-... He wanted to protect everyone, but now... WHAT KIND OF HEARTLESS BASTARD WOULD DO THIS?! ... He wasn't a threat to anyone, but someone saw him as an easy kill... I need to focus, to help find out who did this... Black and Orange gathered all the others. This time around, everyone was more furious than before. "WHAT THE HELL?! ANOTHER KILL?!" Red was pissed, he looked ready to knock the head off of whoever did this. Black was eager to cut the chit-chat and get down to business though. "Grey, what do you see this time?" "Blue's dead body... oh, you mean clues." Too soon and not funny. "Well, this kill looks intentional, as the shot went straight through his head at no angle. Judging by the location and the position of the body, it seemed like Blue opened his door to his killer, was shot without a second thought, fell to the ground, blocked his door from closing, and the killer made no attempt to hide the body." Black was frustrated himself. "Firstly, everyone shows me your bullet." We all, including Black, had our bullet. "Secondly, did anyone see anything, or does the killer have his own alibi?" ...you've got to be kidding me. How did none of us think this would happen? "Alright well allow me to say first, Orange and I discovered the body first. We went to the bathroom, then noticed it on our way out. The body was still heavily bleeding when we found it, meaning the kill was recent, probably while we were in the bathroom as we didn't notice anything on our way there." ... So... So this guy... "So you're saying, the killer pulled off the perfect kill, AND has a false alibi?!" Black looked down to the floor in shame. That's great, there's another killer here and we don't even-. The announcer chimed in. "Good evening all. I noticed you were all having trouble, in this case, so with everyone's permission, I'd like to give a hint." We all, in unison, agreed. "Ok, here is your hint... Roses are red, the killer has no morale. Even after such a kill, they still had to stay formal." ... ... ...What? The hell does that mean? Stay formal? We're in a killing game, who cares about formality? "That is all the hints I can give, I hope you can put the pieces together and solve it. Good luck." ...Everyone is baffled, Black speaks up. "Any ideas Grey?" She shook her head, "Nothing big." ...So what now, we're stuck? We can't find the killer and we just have to live with that? "Everyone, as of now, we don't have enough evidence to suspect anyone, so we will have to continue this case as far as needed. If anybody finds any clues or makes a breakthrough, don't hesitate to bring it up with me or Grey. As for now, stay safe and in groups. Ideally, now that we are an even number of people, this double plan should work perfectly. Just stay safe and, again, don't do anything stupid. Dismissed." ...WHAT THE HELL?! We're just supposed to pretend that there isn't a hidden killer with us? Ok then. I'll just sleep on this, and hope I don't wake up until after this is all over. How the hell am I supposed to stay sane and not kill if every day I wake up to a new body? Is this really gonna narrow down to one or two people left? If it does, I know I won't be one of them, I'll just be another body the others can't find the killer to. I don't even know if I can 100% rely on Brown, what if he kills me because I trust him. I don't know, even if I can't rely on others, at least I can rely on my bed being as comfy as ever... the only safe haven in this hell... ... One of these days, I'll truly never leave... ... ...
