Rajveer is watching Naina leave with the book in his hand.

Naveen: bas kar aur kitna dekhega use

Rajveer startled, "Kya?"

Naveen: bata kyu nai deta usko that you like her.

Rajveer looked down with a light blush, "Kuch bhi bolta hai yar tu"

Naveen smiled amusingly, "Saale apni shakal dekh pahle fir jhuth bolna. Tere chehre par saf saf likha hai that you like her. Problem kya hai?"

"Yar, kaise batau? She is someone special...matlab she is someone to get serious with ...you know", Rajveer replied while rubbing the ground with his left shoe.

"So you don't want to be serious now?", Naveen asked

"Are we supposed to? Shalu aur Gunny ko dekh. I thought they will survive anything but ab dekh. Gunny hardly look like he care aur Shalu to collg hi nai ati hai", Rajveer finally opened his heart out loud.

"Hmm... mere pagal dost..itna darega to zindagi me age koi bhi step kaise lega...there is always a risk of failure", Naveen replied.

Rajveer looked up at his friend, "itni dimag vali baaten tu kab se karne laga?"

"Mai to humesha se hi intelligent hu. Tum logo ne ho meri kadr nahin ki kabhi", Naveen boasted.

Both of them laughed.

"Vaise ek bat bata, tune kya socha hai collg ke bad kya karega?", Naveen asked

"Aj Suraj kahi aur se nikla hai shayad, tujhe ho kya gya hai aj", Rajveer asked with surprised expressions over Naveen's conversation topic.

"Kamine mazak band kar. I am serious, bata na", Naveen replied giving him a look.

"Hmm...pata nai yar...sach kahu to I am also not sure. Kabhi lagta hai ye karu aur kabhi lagta hai ki kuch aur...", Rajveer confessed.

"I have given it a lot of thought...yar mujhse na ye 9 to 6 ki boring job nai ho payegi...I am not made for it", Naveen said.

"Fir kya soch rha hai?", Rajveer asked.

"I am thinking about joining army after my graduation", Naveen replied looking at Rajveer. He wants to see how he will react.

"Tu Army join karna chahta hai? Really?", Rajveer was surprised.

"Han Yar. I really want to. I think it's my calling", Naveen finally accepted.

"Then go for it. Kya soch rha hai? Army? Airforce ya Navy?" Rajveer asked

Naveen was so relieved due to Rajveer's reaction, "sab Kuch. I mean I will apply to everywhere, jahan bhi ho dekhenge".

Rajveer smiled encouraging Naveen but it left his mind much more confused than before.

Shalini was sitting besides the water tank and going through her notes when Abhimanyu sat besides her.

Shalini: the answer is still no Abhi

Abhimanyu: aur agar yahan hum nahin Naveen hote tab bhi aap yahin kahti.

Shalini shut her notes with a snap, "Han tab bhi mera jawab yahin hota Abhi"

Abhimanyu: hum jan sakte hai kyu?

Shalini: jan to sakte ho par I doubt ki tum samajh payoge.

Abhimanyu: let's try

Shalini: I am done being my identity as a girlfriend/ potential girlfriend. Just because I am cute doesn't mean I am supposed to be with someone. Meri identity sirf kisi ki girl friend hona nai hai. I am much more than that.

Abhimanyu: aur humne kab is bat se inkar kia

Shalini: kya matlab?

Abhimanyu: Shalu..humne kabhi aapko, "potential girl friend material" ki tarah nai dekha. Yes, you are hot and cute par uska matlab ye bilkul nai ki hum aapko objectify kar rahe hai. It was never my intention. Yes I do hit on you because I like you. It's pretty simple that way.

Shalini is currently at loss of words. She always thought of Abhimanyu as a pervert. But currently he is behaving like a really intelligent person for a change.

Abhimanyu; kya hua? Shocked? I can also speak sensibly.

Shalini blinked her eyes as she doesn't know how to respond.

Abhimanyu: Shalu, why do you blame us for anything? Aap apni respect pahle khud to kijiye, dusron ki nazron me khud chalakte hue dekhiyega fir use.

Shalini smiled on it. He did make sense.

Abhimanyu got up to leave when Shalini called, "Thanks Abhi. I did misunderstood you. Friends?"

Abhimanyu smiled and forwarded his hand. They shake it and sealed the friendship.

Gunny who is standing behind the filter heard the entire conversation. He is feeling a little guilty of making Shalini feel like this.

May be it's his insecurities which made him so bitter. May be she deserves better.
