Chapter 14 Finally SMH

"YOU AND CAREY SERIOUSLY!?!? WHY WOULD YOU DATE A GIRL LIKE THAT? I THOUGHT YOU HAD A BRAIN!" Kacey yelled at Josh.

Josh looked hurt and surprised at the same time.

He finally spoke saying "Whoa.. Kacey calm down."

Kacey butt in saying "Calm down!?!? Don't tell me to calm down!!!"

"Kacey just listen! Carey and I are not dating." Josh stated.

Kacey looked regretful she was wrong and have yelled at Josh. Kacey shook her head in disappointment she couldn't believe it. She listened to what Carey said and then yelled at Josh.

Josh saw the sad look on Kacey.

"Whats wrong." Josh asked gently.

"I yelled at you over believing what Carey told me in the bathroom. I'm sorry." Kacey said.

"Wait. What did she tell you?" Josh asked.

"She told me to stay away from you. You love her and you were going to let me go as a friend for her. She also said that your 'hers'." Kacey said putting air quotes around hers.

"What! I would never do that. I would never let you go over anyone; and as far as liking her.... My feelings are no where close." Josh said smiling.

"That's good; I'm sorry I was acting like jealous girlfriend." Kacey said looking down at the ground.

"It's okay." Josh embraced her in a hug.

Josh took a few steps inside the house dragging Kacey along while in the hug. He let go of Kacey and shut the door.

He looked back at Kacey and asked "So um who was that guy you were with."

"I was with Jason. He took me to dinner. No we're not dating. Just friends but he said he is into me." Kacey told the truth.

"Well he won't be the only one that likes you." Josh said.

"What do you mean .. Not only one?" "Does someone else like me?" Kacey asked dumbfounded.

"Well yah." Josh shyly replied.

Josh's phone buzzed in his pocket. He put on a small smile and answered the phone that flashed Jay on the screen.

"Hello." Josh spoke into the phone.

"Josh! Kacey's father is in deep trouble. We made the wrong move of keeping her dad with us. Now Mac thinks he betrayed him; so now his family is in danger. I told the boss to get them an apartment for now until we led Mac somewhere else. Take them to the MappleWood Townsend Houses. I am trying to locate where Mac is from Mr. Brooks phone." Jayden spoke through the other end.

"Okay, I'll inform them. We will be there in twenty mins." Josh said and hung up.

"What you mean by 'we'?" Kacey asked confused.

"We as in you and your family and I. We are losing time; pack your stuff. I'm going to tell your mom and bros." Josh said walking away.

Kacey just stood there shocked for a few minutes and dashed upstairs to pack.

Everyone was packed up and ready to go. Kacey rode with Josh while Jake, Blaine, and Mrs.Brooks rode in Blaine's car. They got to MappleWood Townsend Houses and unpacked. Jayden called Josh to tell him he found out where Mac was. So Josh had to go leave Kacey and her family to 'take care of family issues' which was a lie. He was going to find Mac and end this madness. Josh immediately drove away to the location to where Mac had called. It was about 2hrs away from Kaceys house. It was an old abandoned house that no one would want to live in. Jayden met Josh there and said the place is deserted and Mac is no where to be found. Josh and agreed to catch Mac a different day. For now they had to watch over Kacey and her family.
