Kacey's Short POV
After Josh left, Jake kept telling me something is up with Josh. My over protective brother admitted to stalking Josh to the upstairs bathroom.
I thought to myself 'what a crazy, idiotic brother I have.'
"Kacey listen to me, someone called him in the bathroom, and.."
Before he said more nonsense I butt-in saying "Not another word. Stop stalking Jake. Do you know how crazy you sound? Following a guy to the bathroom."
Shaking my head in disapproval, I left upstairs to head to my room. After my quick shower I heard a knock on my door.
"Ya." I responded in a bored tone.
"Hey sis it's me Jake." Jake said.
"Go away Jake." I said not wanting to be bothered.
"Kace, I'm not here to bother you about Josh." Jake said taking in a big breath.
"It's about mom; the hospital called saying she was ready to come home tomorrow and explain what happened." Jake said.
I didn't respond back, because all the memories of that day flashed through my mind. Before I knew it, tears rolled down my cheek. A few soft knocks hit on my door.
"Sis, are you okay?" Jake said worried.
Wiping my eyes I said, "I'm fine, I can't wait to see mom. I miss her." In a whiney voice.
"Sis, please let me in." Jake said.
I did as he asked. He pulled me into a hug that was, for once not a bone crushing one.
"I miss mom, too. Don't worry, everything will be okay." Jake said kissing my forehead.
I always thought Jake was the immature one; but at this moment he's being an awesome big bro.
"Okay, goodnight Jake." I said cheering up.
"Goodnight Kace." Jake said on his way out closing the door.
I jumped right into bed, finally getting comfortable just realizing the light was still on. Sighing I made my way out of bed and turned off the light repeating my steps to get comfy in bed.
Falling into deep sleep, thinking to myself 'Mom gets to come home' with a smile on my face.
Josh's POV
We finally arrived at Jayden's place. I've almost forgotten what Jay's place looked like; eventhough I come here so many times. I looked at the big mansion with the round window in the middle showing the chandler and two stair cases curving in opposite direction; one going to the left and one to the right. The black gates opened; when Jay typed in the password to get through them. Driving into the driveway, we got out the car and headed to front door. Jayden had to put in another password for the home security. I was thinking about the memories when we began training to become a spy. We knew anything could happen to us. Just like how my house got broken into today.
Walking in, we turned left into Jay's mini work office. I sat on the black leather couch while Jayden made his way to the black leather spinny chair.
"So, the person who threatened us was a former spy, you know him. Mac Johnson, your mom's old friend." Jayden said.
"Ya, didn't he want to be the new boss but no one liked his new ideas to 'make our agency stronger'. It was a insane plan to take over agencies around the world." I said now knowing why we were threatened.
