"Sorry, what?"
"I said, do you not have eyes?" Sunwoo says softly, with all the patience he can muster despite his glare sending Younghee shrinking as her eyes land on the gate closing.
She then shifts her eyes to the handsome boy, "Yes, I do. Unlike you," she finishes, knowing she said a white lie.
His eyes are dreamy and everything if he could just smile—
"You—You think apologizing will solve everything?"
Younghee's thoughts freeze, a bucket of reality splashing on her.
"I'm running late for my flight, so if you will excuse me . . . "
Determined Younghee walks around him only to be pulled back, coming in contact with his chest, hand embracing her arm.
Time stops for a moment.
The young female swears her heart might jump out of her ribcage this close to him, and the very fact he was rude a minute ago erases this.
She doesn't even know why.
The ginger hues of her eyes twinkling are wide, holding his deep brown eyes that soften.
His hand slips off her arm. They pull away after an awkward realization.
"I should be the one apologizing. It was the least you could do," Sunwoo says. He hopes she understands it was not his intention to be rude.
Neither was this sudden stranger moment.
How he ended up here is something the deepest part of his mind knows.
How he bumped into a girl whose coffee eyes sparkle when she talks, determination lacing her voice, her energy, needs explanation.
"No, it's alright. As long as you're okay, it was nice meeting you. Bye!"
Sunwoo watches her make a run, dumbfounded.
Sunwoo wonders if she will catch her flight, so he stays near the gate, eyes focusing on the airplanes moving outside.
"The gate's already closed, and the airplane is taking off now. I'm sorry, but you will have to wait for the next flight, please understand."
"I can't just wait here!"
"Are you alone?"
Younghee's shoulders tense, gaze flickering down.
"Did you run away?" There's teasing evident in his voice, but the way he looks at her gives her the wrong signals. She pulls away. "None of your business."
"You can always stay at my place for the night," he walks up to her.
The distance between them startles her, causing her to take steps back, meeting the wall.
"I don't know what you're talking about," a laugh escapes her mouth.
"Are you really playing around? A beautiful girl like you, a runaway bride, won't accept a friendly offer?"
Sunwoo looks down at his watch, worried. He hurries to gate 24.
"I'm sorry. I'll find somewhere to stay," voice trembling, the girl feels vulnerable as the man leans closer, stroking her hair, "Stay at my place, it will be fun," before he could do more, a firm hand grabs hold of his arm.
"Leave her alone. She's my passenger."
