Younghee wakes up to the sound of the door opening.
She peels one eye open, pretending to sleep, body tense when a weight dips on her side of the bed, mind running in different directions, holding her breath.
What if it's a stranger?
Okay, let's be logical here. No one has the card to the room except Sunwoo—
"Your flight is an hour and a half," he can't help but smile at sleeping Younghee.
"I know you're awake, c'mon."
The free-spirited girl releases her breath, sighing. Thank god, it's just Sunwoo.
"I'm not dead?" She exclaims.
"We can't let you miss a flight again, but you do deserve an A-plus for your acting skills."
"I know. I'm amazing."
"You love yourself that much?"
"I love myself this much!" Younghee extends her arms, wrapping them around herself, lips lifting into a content smile.
. . .
The airport life speeds through late afternoon, sunlight spilling across tiled floors, creating a warm scenery. Sunwoo and Younghee wait for their flight, sitting on forest green chairs.
Younghee never thought she'd run into trouble, trapping another in one.
She still hasn't apologized to the boy either, and she isn't sure if she should.
A yawn escapes her mouth, bored eyes glancing at the TV displaying scheduled flights, slowly shutting. Head leaning and falling to rest against Sunwoo's shoulder.
Not on purpose. It's a habit, the girl reassures herself, but she's tired, and he's warm.
All she wants is to be on the airplane, arrive in Seoul, South Korea, and audition.
Younghee is not going to give up.
Sunwoo looks to his right and finds her sleeping. He tugs her arm, attempting to call her name.
Younghee doesn't wake up.
She wants to play it the hard way? Okay, no problem, Sunwoo thinks.
"Younghee!"
Surprised Younghee jumps awake, bringing her knees to her chest, hands curling into fists. Realizing who called her name, cheeks reddening.
She pushes him away and lifts herself onto her feet, clutching her luggage.
"After you," Sunwoo offers.
"I don't need sleep. I'm energetic."
"I can see that."
