Younghee is flabbergasted.
She breathes out a laugh, shining coffee eyes holding glistening chocolate eyes, a smile in there, and one on the intimidating but soft former pilot.
Sunwoo takes steps back, feeling the warmth between them slowly fade despite the smiles they are sharing.
It's evident in their eyes.
The way the sunlight cascades on Younghee's face as the sun lowers down the horizon, setting.
"Goodbye, Younghee. This is my stop and this is your beginning."
Sunwoo tries not to break eye contact: it would give away the obvious fact he's sad.
It shows in the way he hasn't taken another step back.
Not only because of her contagious smile making him stay.
When the young free-spirited girl gets the message, she nods.
Courage and excitement light in her eyes, the opposite mirroring in his.
Content, Sunwoo takes his last steps back.
Younghee walks towards JYP Entertainment, pausing, a rush of utter excitement filling her as she looks over her shoulder to see him leave.
. . .
The young female waits, standing onstage, making sure to keep her chin up. Not directly look into the eyes of the judges as it would deem rude.
Thud.
Thud.
Thud.
Her heartbeat sounds with each second passing.
One, breathe in, two breathe out, three breathe in.
The cycle repeats.
Calm down, Younghee. It's not like they are going to trap you like a predator to prey.
But that's exactly how the energetic female feels.
If she doesn't make the cut, she doesn't know what she will do.
She has no place to stay here, in Seoul Korea.
Heck, she knows nobody either.
She did exchange a smile with another girl, but that was all, for now, she hopes.
Younghee's alone.
She was so sure and positive, and now she's terrified.
She closes her eyes and then opens them, every moment she had since coming here flashing before her now.
She looks forward and sees a boy—soft raven hair, brown eyes complimenting his melanin skin, the black jean jacket he wears.
A plain white T-shirt and jeans hugging him, hand waving to her with a genuine, and warm smile overtaking the incredible proportions of his face.
It's him.
It's Sunwoo.
But when her eyes close and flutter open again, she sees nothing but the taken seats, filled with participants of the show.
